Our car was free from 19.00 a.m., so we tried our luck in the “Cardinale” without reservation. Unfortunately we couldn't sit in the green courtyard anymore, the summer is over. Before the restaurant entrance already the current recommendations. “Spaghetti with truffles” and “Fresh mussels”. The jelly of choice! Entrance area Few steps go down to the restaurant. The historic building has survived wars. Today's building represents the rest of a farm with economic buildings. So everything is slightly angled and heats out. A very young employee welcomed us with a radiant smile. For a Tuesday evening the restaurant was already very well visited. Luckily we got another nicely covered table in the vaulted cellar. Reserves should not be a mistake. The maps were equally handed, the recommendations for the day were again written on a large wallboard. We ordered a bottle of mineral water, San Pellegrino, 0.75 l € 5,50. The menu offers pizza, pasta and Italian classics. We agreed quickly: The spaghetti with truffles € 16,90 should be for both of us. A small appetizer salad was not on the map, but the patient assured that she was not a problem. The desired dressing was requested. Mineral water was immediately and the small salads, as desired with balsamicodressing, were served shortly later. Fresh ingredients, good dressing, also freshly cut (in stock) Ciabatta. She was supported by the head of the house. In the meantime we ordered a reason alcohol-free, 0.33 l € 2.50 and Frascati, 0.25 l € 4.20. He served our pasta with freshly planned black truffles. Not the most expensive truffle (not expected otherwise), I suspect Burgundy truffles. The portion is well dimensioned and served in the deep, preheated plate. Rich truffles and what I expect to be high: here was not refreshed with truffle oil or truffle butter. It tasted pure and good, Parmesan. Simple and convincing. Not only a crispy chip as a decoration on top. Spaghetti with fresh truffles We were very happy with our choice, our evening, were well-careed. The question of whether everything is right is not lacking in the small salad or in the pasta. Despite a fully equipped restaurant, the acoustics were pleasant and not too loud. Restaurant im Gewölbekeller, Service sehr zuvorkommender und aufmerksam. Excellente Pizza. Der Salat war auch groß und sättigend. Das Ambiente ist total romantisch. Bargeld zum Bezahlen mitbringen!Die besten Restaurants in meiner Nähe

I can only recommend. the chef is very striving to feel comfortable. the food is fresh and the price is true. if you don't have so much hunger and want to share 2 a pizza, you even get the pizza divided on 2 teller. I'm telling you, it's a top service. always very much, keeps going. Ver carta

I think this place is highly underrated. I've been here a few times and every time it was a delight. The atmosphere is Mediterranean and classy. Service is very friendly and you can see they love what they do. More importantly, the food is excellent and so are the wines. I can only recommend this place!

Es ist alles Geschmackssache und Geschmäcker sind verschieden. Ich fand das Ambiente top. Der Gewölbekeller hat absolut Charme und das offene Feuer hat alles sehr gemütlich gemacht. Das Essen war (leider) nicht ganz mein Geschmack; es war in Ordnung. Service war flink, freundlich und spaßig. Daher gibt es dafür auch 5 Sterne.

we were recently (not for the first time) with 20 people in the cardinal. all tasted excellent. the dishes ranged from pizza and pasta to fish and meat as well as the day recommendation. eating came at the same time, indicating a good organization. the only manko were the knives that were a bit blunt. also the original ambiente with the great kamin was very good at us. just don't get too warm, because the open fireplace already warms when you sit close. besides the tasty eating, I have remained the very friendly, warm service and the very nice chef in good memory. you feel like a regular, even if you just come back and forth.
