Had a lovely meal, one of the party had a special diet that was well catered for and nothing was to much trouble. Excellent service , Excellent fresh food . Will defiantly be returning .

Dropped in for a Sunday afternoon pint and was not disappointed! Lovely warm log fires, very friendly doggos, very polite and friendly people and great beer straight from the barrel. Lovely rustic bar and we will be returning. A lot.

Happened by this pub whilst trying to find somewhere to meet our daughter Mid way between North and south and what a find it was! Lovely staff, lovely locals and as dog lovers we weren't short of dogs to make a fuss of! Great food and can't recommend enough!!!!

I was in the village from 2013 until 2018. Pub changed hands a few times. Well, from now, the pub is excellent. New bar maid is excellent. Been a few times. It's nice to see the pub in good hands. We went for Sunday dinner yesterday, wow how nice was it. The staff were welcoming and talkative, the chef took pride in his cooking and was grateful with our great comments. The dinners were a hearty portion and delicious. Dogs are very welcome. The pub is a small village local and should be appreciated by everyone around. Thanks for a great experience.

I had a lovely dinner with some friends at this restaurant. The menu is concise but features excellent dishes, and the decor is appealing. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's a dog-friendly pub, complete with friendly resident dogs. The price per person was around £20–30. Overall, I would rate the food 5/5, the service 5/5, and the atmosphere 5/5. I highly recommend trying the burger!

The chef personally delivered my meal, which was such a thoughtful gesture, especially late at night. I was so touched by how comfortable and friendly the locals were, and the staff's service made me feel relaxed and at ease, as if I were a regular there. I will definitely be back! Oh, and they had two resident dogs that added to the charm—they were fun and friendly, and if you like animals, you’ll love their playful presence.
