"Richard and I, en route from Cambridge to Shropshire, chanced upon this splendid cafe in Kettering, easily accessible from the A14. The cafe occupies a cosy space with a breakfast bar by the window, offering a lovely view of the local red-brick architecture, and a fine place from which to watch the colourful characters of Kettering passing by. Unlike some cafes, there was no 'greasy spoon ' smell, which was a boon. Instead a delightful and appetite-arousing aroma of freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Richard opted for the small breakfast, and had no trouble in swapping out his eggs and tomato for black pudding and mushrooms at no extra cost. I ordered the much-vaunted breakfast baguette. The food was cooked freshly and served quickly. Richard was impressed by the appearance of his plate, and more so by the delicious food which he consumed with gusto. Richard said the bacon was well cooked, the mushrooms were good, not too greasy, generally everything was well cooked, the only thing that could have been better was the sausage, which was fine but obviously a 'standard quality ' sausage . My breakfast baguette was fantastic, the crispy bread was marvellous and the generous filling was hot and tasty, and not at all greasy. All this, plus two steaming cups of flavoursome tea for the bargain price of £9.90. We both took the opportunity to use the facilities and we 're impressed with their cleanliness and the provision of Radox soap. On the whole a great find. We will certainly drop in again if we pass by on another adventure."

"We have visited several of these restaurants in the past and always received exemplary service. We were on our way home in Kettering and decided to go the restaurant for dinner as we had had busy day. We arrived at 18:10 on 17/5/2023 and there were lots of tables available so we selected table 2 in a quiet corner. My wife went to the bar and placed our order for food and drink and returned to our table at 18:15. My wife went up to the bar and enquired at 18:45 and the lady said that our food was being prepared as we had seen other people bing served their food which had been ordered after our order was taken we a little confused. As the lady behind the bar did not let us know what was happening we enquired again and were told agin it was being prepared. A few minutes later a waitress approached and placed our cutlery for us, on our previous visits we have had our cutlery place very soon after your order was taken not some 45 mins after taking the order. Had we not pre paid when ordering our food we would have left as we were not happy at all with the lack of customer service. When we got our food we did not enjoy it because we had had to wait almost an hour and the bar staff seemed more interested in crating fancy cocktails than serving us with our food order that in our opinion was not given to the kitchen when we placed it. "Best Indian in Kettering. Both dine-in and takeaway is incredible! Staff are super friendly and really helpful for recommendations. Foods incredible, never had a bad dish. Cobra on tap. Decent prices too. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Loads of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: Menu cleared labeled which dietary allergies ever dish contains Parking: No parking. There's a street round the corner which is normally ok to find a spot for dinner. Might be tough for lunch. "This was my first visit in some time. In the past, I felt that the prices were a bit high for the quality of the food. However, it seems that the quality has improved significantly and now matches the prices. I found the prices to be on par with other Italian restaurants I have visited recently. The restaurant now offers generously-sized pizzas cooked in a proper oven, and the pasta is clearly freshly made. The drinks are reasonably priced, even cheaper than my local pub. The service and atmosphere were excellent. I recommend booking in advance, as the restaurant was full on Wednesday night."
