"The tonkotsu ramen here was so unpalatable that I was amazed at that ramen broth could taste so differently than a traditional tonkotsu broth. Perhaps the taste here had be adapted to fit Italian taste? My cousin and I were interested in trying out this place since I am always curious to see how ramen is outside of Japan. I definitely had tasty ramen in Taiwan, Canada, Sweden, and in various cities in the States; so even with local adaptations, it is possible to make good ramen. The experience started out promising as there was a line outside. We got seated in the share table. The shop only seats about 25 people. The store was nicely decorated with wall painting and kids drawings. We started with Kim pollo karaage. It came with three types of herbs, basil, mint, and cilantro and a side of wasabi aioli. The chicken was moist and nicely fried. The marination of the chicken was good and flavorful. We had high hopes up until that point. Then the ramen came. My cousin ordered the spicy hot miso ramen and I went for the king. My first thought was that the chashu tasted bland. It was tender but flavorless. The kakuni had a weird sweet soy sauce taste. The broth didn 't tasted like they spent any time working on its flavor profile. It had a one-noted taste. The broth was supposed to be the heart of a ramen! I tried my cousin 's miso broth and it tasted like the spiciness from shichimi mixed with some graininess of red miso. Either way, both broths were so out of the left field that I didn 't even know if it should be considered ramen. I wouldn 't say don 't come here as I almost think one could try this place just to see how far from ramen that ramen could be. I can 't imagine the owner being Japanese since other than looking like ramen, the flavor was such a departure for what ramen stood for that it was hard to even finish the bowl. It was such a pity since the karaage was good."

Good ramen in a cozy place. Place is very small so be prepared to wait. Leave your phone number and go for a drink somewhere else while you wait. Ramen itself is great and quite rich.

the king tonkotsu ramen is a must (i must say that this one is the best ramen i’ve tried so far in Italy). the place is quite small so you need to come earlier or you might have to wait.

Best tonkotsu ramen I had in Europe. The soup flavor it’s authentic, noodles have perfect consistency. Toppings are also good, especially chasyu. I wish I had more soup in my bowl tho, it was so good! Great job Casa Ramen

The King Tonkotsu Ramen is excellent; the piece of kakuni (fat pork belly) is mouth-watering and takes the dish to a whole new level. Top restaurant in Milano, hands down! Extra hint: google gambero rosso casa ramen milano and read an interesting story about the owner.

I have to admit this was my first time eating ramen, but this places makes its name justice. Its a small cozy place and we had to wait 40min, but totally worth it. These asian mini burgers and kim pollo were great appetizer to begin with. As main dish we had miso o fire and the king. I had a very great time here. Ver carta

We loved this Ramen House! The wait was 30 minutes but worth it! The website stated they open at 8pm for dinner but really opened at 7:30pm. I had veggie miso. I specially liked the sweet potatoes in my ramen. A unique twist. My husband the King Ramen...the pork was super tasty! We will return! Great find a in Milan!

This little place reminds me of a NYC ramen spot. Being so small means having to wait... but trust me, it's worth it. The ramen here is really delicious (and they have a spicy version that's to die for). Also, if you want some more broth you can ask for it and they'll be kind enough to give you some more. Noodles are firm and chewy, broth is rich and flavorful. Everything is as it's supposed to be. The menu isn't huge, which I love, as it means they go for staples and quality rather than quantity. Definitely a fan and will come back!

"Visited months ago The label of a vegetarian restaurant absolutely does not correspond to what Joia represents in the Italian gastronomic panorama. We are talking about the maximum expression of haute cuisine, overwhelming ideas, bold and unexpected combinations, exceptional raw materials, all served in an exclusive environment suitable for providing customers with a fantastic experience. Chef Leemann showed up in person to take the order and give his suggestions on the sequence of dishes. The service staff has always proven to be very prepared to answer all our questions or curiosities about the dish itself and this knowledge was not only the heritage of the waiter who brought the dish to our table and described it to us, but of all the staff who, even randomly, we stopped to ask for further explanation! The wine list was excellent from which we chose a Barbera d 'Alba by Bartolo Mascarello. But let 's get to the food. As entrees... and calling them entrees is definitely limiting! We were offered 2 wonderful tastings which unfortunately I cannot remember in their composition, but the first was a cream with carrot and rhubarb served in a mini terracotta vase, while the second appeared like a palette of colors where some fantastic raw materials sauces could be combined manually. My lunch then began with the Cantiam la montanara where, under a soft celery foam, there was a composition of green asparagus, spring onion and truffle on chopped borlotti beans. Fantastic dish, sublime with exceptional aromas!. I then continued with The navel of the world , a wonderfully plated dish where two types of rice are used, one as a base made with asparagus and watercress, and in the center a Venere rice cake finished on top with saffron almond cream . Finally I closed the lunch with a selection of 8 cheeses, some of which were truly exceptional, accompanied by jams/honey. Obviously the bill is in line with the proposal and with the experience. I must say that it was truly a pleasure and an honor."
