After a slow start and not having enough menu cards we ordered several appetizers instead of main. Very good food and enjoyed the lake view. We've been here twice in the last month. The food is of high quality and the service is friendly and accommodating. We had mixed appetizers that came out tapas style, every small plate was delicious and we finished them all. Mains were also delicious and...well presented. Definitely a must in Essen. Ask for a table on the back terrace. There are great views of the river and it has a beach-like feel.

Placed on the shore of the Ruhr-River, there is a nice terrace for summer days. A lot of space and natural light in the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful stuff. The dishes are fine and well prepared. Wide choise of the meals from the mediterranian...cuisine, large and good wine list. Try the greek one they recommend really tasty! All in one good place to have fine dinner with friends/family because of the nice location and food. Also parking in front of the door!

En nuestro camino de regreso a Holanda desde Autria, paramos en Essen para comer algo. Como Cavos fue valorado muy bien en Tripadvisory, decidimos probar el restaurante y estamos muy contentos de haberlo hecho.
