"The restaurant offered two menus, the Menu Terroir (E39.50) and the Menu Tradition (E60.00). The more expensive menu offered a totally different set of choices and included a cheese course before dessert. We tried the Menu Terroir, and thoroughly enjoyed the three courses, from memory the starters were smoked salmon with a chive cream, and a superb pate, the mains were rillettes of rabbit, fillet of beef or cod loin, I asked for my beef to be "bien cuit" and it was just perfect. The desserts were a plate of cheese, a Strawberry Melba, apple tart with Calvados or profiteroles. These may sound ordinary, but the quality of the desserts was exceptional. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant as a place for a special meal for two or a family celebration. The setting is beautiful, and the surrounding parkland makes for lovely views from the dining room windows."

Buon cibo e buona carta dei vini, vista parco nella veranda o nella sala ricca di storia.Personale cordiale e affabile. La colazione servita nel salone sul parco regala un buongiorno da signori.

We remembered eating well here in the 1980s and if anything we ate better this month in 2015. superb duck; well-priced Domaine de Chevalier 2005 (?) and a house champagne that got us searching Epernay the next day for the makers.

We were there for a diner and a stay at the hotel, and it was a very good time. We took a drink in a sofa near the chimney, and then the diner with foie gras, pork leeks, and venaison. Good advice for the wine from the maitre d'hotel. Very professional. Young personnel very attentive and efficient. I liked this place.

Le cadre est top, la salle du dîner située au rez-de-chaussée du château, sous les chambres, offre une vue sur le parc. Le parquet de chêne, la belle hauteur sous plafond, tout est réuni pour un beau dîné!Les plats étaient bons mais un peu chers à note goût... le service est soigné.Le seul petit bémol est donc le rapport qualité / prix. We last went to this hotel in 37 years ago and I was curious to see it again. We were taking a long weekend in France and had one night available. It was almost exactly as I remembered it, although possibly a little more frayed around the edges, which is always a little distressing. It must be an expensive hotel to maintain. We had excellent dinner there and the usual wonderful breakfast, and the owners were charming and welcoming.

We loved the mystery of the alleys in the wood, the atmosphere but it is also a restaurant! We had a wonderful table for 2 overlooking nothing much but really enjoyable. We were there for lunch and we had the duck with apricots, it is what you call a very expensive light lunch, desert is too pricey too. Go for the atmosphere but not hungry! Service: they are young and willing but they lack what it takes: common sense in serving. One of them dropped the bread in my husband's sauce but instead of changing it , she puts it in the plate???the reason was she was not standing at the right place!!! If you charge a lot you should provide this kind of service!
