The courtyard is a lovely place to dine. They offer multiple set menus at different prices and A La Carte. The food was very good but quite pricey however the staff were lovely and the pace of service was perfect. Definitely worth a visit.

The decor is beautiful, the ally menu, the charming staff but... The waiters have pity on their abominable clothes on the kitchen, it could be tasty if it was fresh and not frozen -heated, damage, we will not come back because first we were there for the pleasure of our taste buds!!! What a great discovery! An exceptional stopover, everything is there, the warm welcome of the owners, the castle renovated with taste, the comfort of the Knight room for our part, the kindness and professionalism of the staff and finally, the healthy, refined and surprising cuisine. An excellent place, which we visited several times as a couple or as part of the activities of the Auto Club. The quality of the reception and a staff with a little care, the rooms are all comfort in an old building, lunch and dinner in the inner courtyard is a must in the beautiful season, otherwise for groups, the large room allows to receive more than 50 people in a medieval setting. A friend advised us this stage in a region full of mysteries, we did well to listen to it. 2 beautiful nights in this castle completely renovated by charming owners who share their passion of the place. Period room but very comfortable, sobriety that respects the place but with the current codes. Restaurant gastronomic without fault, staff with little care. The courtyard of the castle is a must where one is plunged in another time. Close to Rennes the castle, the castle of 'Arques, the spa village of Rennes the baths, also close to the gorges of Galaruc or the Pech of Bugarach there is to be done in the region. I recommend a real spa space well being with for example jacuzzi and massage room...

Three British families who have come to this area every summer for on average 10 years met up for dinner here on a Monday evening. Helpfully the restaurant is open on a Monday evening unlike most in the area. None of us recognise the experience of the previous UK reviewer. On the contrary, we were of the view that this is one of the best places in the area.We went for the Renaissance menu at 36 euros. The dinner was wonderfully creative with masterchef-type twists. For example, the Dorade was beautifully cooked on a bed of interestingly woven vegetables. The puddings included a modern expression of a raspberry rolly-poly, called a 'Bras de gitan'.
