"This little gem is near the fountain in Bergerac. The staff are helpful and attentive. You can eat in or outside. It does not have an extensive menu but it is great food. They do great salad. We had the salmon (saumon) which had a little pot of marinading salmon, surrounded by: rice, carrot, tomato, lettuce, cauliflower, Apple, something similar to courgette, and a cute little bag of bread. We also saw a lovely plate with a cheese and ham toastie with salad, which looked delicious. Dessert was in jars! Peach in syrup, chocolate mousse ( both delicious) and posset with black currant or strawberry. They do tea as well, which was a bonus, with plenty of milk too.The China and glassware was unusual and attractive. The loo is really lovely - very quirky & worth a visit even if you don't require the facility!!"

Plat rafraîchissant dégusté sur une place agréable. L'équipe est souriant et serviable et le tarif pour le déjeuner est raisonnable. Un bon moment entre amis.

Simple, tasty menu with a dish of the day and a Croque of the day. We ordered one of each and they were both lovely. Really good lunch spot with very friendly staff. Ver carta

Popped in for a quick coffee. The cafe is very clean and has a lovely atmosphere. The lady serving was incredibly friendly and the coffee was very delicious. There are books and games for both children and adults, which is a nice touch. Would definitely return.

Just popped in whilst visiting the Tourist office next door - WHAT A FIND. Great coffee, friendly service and comfortable environment to read and digest the information before taking a tour of Bergerac. English books such a Charles Dickens there to read should you have the time or the inclination with prices that were much less than I had expected.

Unfortunately, we didn't eat at Chez Albert as we were only killing time before a train journey, but we loved the place. The decor of the restaurant is lovely and there is an excellent range of local craft beers on the menu. The woman who served us was really nice and helped us to understand the menu.We will definitely come back to try the food when we are next in Bergerac. Ver carta

My family and I popped in on the off chance lunch was still being served. It was and it was such a treat. The lady serving, the owner I presume, was sat with other staff having their own lunch but stopped immediately when we walked in and offered her thoughts on what wet should eat and what they could adapt did my 4yo daughter. We had the croque du jour and the risotto which were both very enjoyable. We visited again the following day but were just a little too late for food

Visited here after viewing countless positive reviews.2 things to pick from on a chalkboard, one be a croq and another plate of salad with ham and potatoes. We went with the croq and they out their own twist on it which made it the same as a standard toasted sandwich you would find in a bar in the UK.The wine came out in the tiniest quantity (3.50 per glass)Food was average, service was minimal.Much better local places for cheap eats if that's what you are after (omelette place nearby is amazing)

"We went to L'Omelettaria for dinner with family and we were agreeably surprised by our experience there. Despite the fact that the restaurant was empty when we arrived which isn't that reassuring for a restaurant located in the very heart of the city, the owner was very friendly and welcomed us warmly. When it comes to the menu, options are varied; from omelets to salads and burgers, you can take your pick! There was also a correct amount of dessert options to choose from. As a pescatarian, I really appreciated the owner's thought of adding both vegetarian and pescatarian options to the menu which I believe and according to the menu we'd seen online weren't there before. Overall, the food was great: my mom and I both had the Atlantide omelet which consisted in an omelet filled with white asparagus and crème fraiche and topped with a slice of smoked salmon and lemon. My dad had the Paysanne omelet which was pretty filling; it was stuffed with mushrooms, cheese, potatoes and lardons. As for my sister, she had the Cheddar burger and it looked bomb. She loved it but couldn't finish it and honestly, I wouldn't have been able to finish it either because it was HUGE. Everything was served with a side of fries and salad which is nice and I NEED to mention that the fries are homemade and they are amazing. We thought we would still be hungry after dinner but it wasn't the case; considering the quality of the food and the fact that it is very filling, the prices are quite correct. Now, attention needs to be drawn towards the fact that the place in itself is not very noisy, but it is extremely close to a very busy street so it can get rapidly annoying. I do recommend this place, and I will absolutely do this again with friends in the summer after a few drinks at the bar which is a few steps away!"
