"Imagine eating wonderful food while looking out of the window at the sky turning dark through the pale stone arches of an ancient Roman amphitheatre reaching into the sky. This place was a great discovery on a rainy, rainy night. Warmly welcoming, not at all put off by a solo diner (some are less than helpful), and I ate very very well. Dined on an organic salad that was wonderfully fresh, with a dressing I wish I could make. Followed by a duck dish over rice, served I a sauce of apples... Might not sound very promising but I cleaned up every morsel, and this from someone who isn't usually overly fond of duck. Go there, you'll be glad you did.I can still see those arches against a sky so deep blue it was almost purple, and taste the duck and its delicious sauce, perfectly balanced between savoury and sweet."

Small place with a terrasse over the splendid arens. Delicious local food, very well cooked with a nice variety. There are also gluten free meals. Warm welcome by the boss, taking care of his guests. Opened in winter !!

This place seemed to have more vegan and vegetarian options than meat options, but as the lone carnivore in the family, I was more than satisfied. Staff was very friendly. Food was great. Desert was awesome too. And being right next to the arena, the views are enjoyable as well.

Visited Chez Felix a couple of nights ago. It was a far cry from some of the eateries in Arles. Chez Felix served 'slow (grown) food' cooked at its best and tasted delicious. The wine was great too. If you see a vacant table, stop and eat there -especially if you like good homemade fayre.

Wonderful little French cafe outside amphitheater. Delicious organic food with nice variety. We had gnocchi with pesto & vegetable curry with Tikka Masala chutney...yum!! Very personable, friendly, helpful staff. Nice wine choices. Combo meals or a la carte available. Would definitely return & highly recommend! Ver carta

We were just walking past this restaurant and were enticed by the simple but delicious menu. The veggies are organic which is also great. But what made this restaurant fantastic was the hosts who were very hospitable (and also had great English which helped us!). The Indian curry made in house is a great pick. Very yummy

my daughter is vegan so when we travel together she picks the restaurant and happy cow is our guid .This how we end up at dinner at chez Felix looking at the Roman Arena. The food was delicious, the service was friendly. The soup was good, rice with vegetable with Indian spices but not too heavy on the Indian ( no curry or marsala). For finale we had a wonderful calming tea with cloves and varban. Enjoy

We discovered the place as a second choice. The restaurant is small with a family atmosphere. Prices are acceptable. 21Euro the menu is ok, the kids plate for 12Euro too much.I liked the salat's oriental touch and the vegetrian curry. I would have preferred more choice in the curry and not that many zucchini. The apple tart for desert was good. Solid place for lunch. Lacks a nit of atmosphere for dinner. Ver carta

We ate here on a beautiful June night, outdoors next to the Coliseum. Couldn't find a more delightful place to eat. The food was wonderful! Chicken and veggie Biriyani were delicious, accompanied by equally delicious salad (topped with crunchy dehydrated onions) and summer squash, potato soup. Eric, the owner spent time with us giving tips on sights in the area as well as insights into the winemaking philosophy behind the organic Rose we were drinking. He was a great host and the service was friendly and efficient. We had eaten here before and we will eat here again!

Trying to eat healthy while holidaying in Europe is a feat. So I was very excited to see this restaurant served vegetarian, gluten free and organic food. They also serve meat. The salad was delicious, but my main course was quite average and tasteless, like they forgot to season the food - Carmague rice and bull stew - their specialty dish. My son's burger and pasta tasted like it was straight out of a box. As it turns out, the only organic ingredients were for the salad. The setting was lovely but the service, terrible. It took half an hour for the bill to arrive. A shame for a restaurant trying to make a difference.

"This restaurant is part of a hotel in a very impressive 16th century building. It looks very classy. However, the night we were there, there must have been some serious problems in the kitchen (or maybe it is always like that . We started with a shared plate of charcuterie which took a long time to arrive – how long does it take to arrange the cold meats on a plate? We then waited a very, very long time for our main courses. While waiting, we saw a dispute at another table involving the maître d’ and resulting in plates going back to the kitchen. We had both ordered duck à l’orange which came with Camargue rice. The rice appeared to have been baked in the oven and was so crisp and dry that it resembled a cereal bar. The ‘orange’ was not the usual sauce, but instead was four cubes of orange that appeared to have been scorched on a grill. They added nothing to the dish. It had been suggested that we should share a side of seasonal vegetables. These turned out to be big chunks of boiled potatoes (with rice! , a boiled root vegetable and a couple of dry artichokes. We had interchanges with two servers and the maître d – all were cold and brusque. We lived in France for more than 20 years and appreciate the fact that the French like to take their time with meals, but there is a big difference between leisurely and glacially slow. Perhaps we were there on a bad night, others seem to have had a better experience."
