"We got lucky and found this place on Yelp, decided to try it out. Let's start first with my phone call. The gentle man was happy to hear from me and take my reservation. We got there and every person woman and child seemed happy...to see us. I got the roast beef. The wife got a caprese or something. They serve it as an open faced sandwich. Think this limits you? Think again! That sandwich was better than grandma's cooking and great aunt Sue's cooking combined. Now let's turn to the prices. After getting nickeled and dimed across France this place hit my boot strap just right. No upsells. No pressure to buy more drinks. Just a great meal and pleasant company. That my friends is why I say boy howdy Go pay them a visit. You won't regret it."

The kingdom of Dame Tartine, a myriad of inventive and gourmet sandwiches with Poilâne bread as a common base, delicious homemade gazpacho and tasty desserts. If we add a friendly and smiling welcome and service, a more than reasonable addition, this is an ideal place for a dinner with friends. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Ver carta

what a tasty bite! we had foie grass and laughs. They were served on very thin slices of French brot that had been roasted. they enjoy a carafe of local rose, which was very good. our server was just lovely. very attentive, polite, friendly, and really. renew their menu. this is a place I return to. only wish they had some seats in the open.

as they now know, this place serves open sandwiches. sounds boring, but not. the sandwiches are original a nd very good in the did. and included in the price (about 13 euro) is a bowl suppe (which was a wonderful sweet soup when we went). we were recommended to buy and share a sandwich, which was excellent advice. service was fast and friendly.

As a German, I was very excited about this French version of tarte flambée; I can only say it was pure enjoyment! The salad served with it was fresh and delicious and the cheesecake I chose for dessert was the best I have ever eaten. Friendly owners and service contributed to this completely successful lunch break. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Ver carta

beautiful atmosphere, delicious “ sandwiches.” but I am so disappointed restaurants are so expensive in arles. our bill came to 60 euro for two people who both ate the tartine, a cross between bruschetta and pizza, a beer and two desserts. but 60 euro for. a nice lunch is even better than 150 euro for a person in L’Atelier on the street to pay, and the problem with L’Atelier, for me, is that they don’t say what they serve, they could have a main course of pasta with inkfish color, not my favorites. at least here is clear what they get. popular with locals in late autumn.

We had a wonderful lunch here. It's very simple food but absolutely delicious. We had the toast with tuna and the toast with grilled chicken. It was tasteful and more then enough for one person. The sandwiches are accompanied by either a salad or soup....The staff was very friendly. We came with a one year old and they were very sweet to her. Bringing her bread, napkins without us having to ask. After lunch we had an espresso which was also of good quality. The toilets were very clean as well (unfortunately no changing table). I can recommend this place to anyone. Whether you are with friends, family or just the two.

"This restaurant is part of a hotel in a very impressive 16th century building. It looks very classy. However, the night we were there, there must have been some serious problems in the kitchen (or maybe it is always like that . We started with a shared plate of charcuterie which took a long time to arrive – how long does it take to arrange the cold meats on a plate? We then waited a very, very long time for our main courses. While waiting, we saw a dispute at another table involving the maître d’ and resulting in plates going back to the kitchen. We had both ordered duck à l’orange which came with Camargue rice. The rice appeared to have been baked in the oven and was so crisp and dry that it resembled a cereal bar. The ‘orange’ was not the usual sauce, but instead was four cubes of orange that appeared to have been scorched on a grill. They added nothing to the dish. It had been suggested that we should share a side of seasonal vegetables. These turned out to be big chunks of boiled potatoes (with rice! , a boiled root vegetable and a couple of dry artichokes. We had interchanges with two servers and the maître d – all were cold and brusque. We lived in France for more than 20 years and appreciate the fact that the French like to take their time with meals, but there is a big difference between leisurely and glacially slow. Perhaps we were there on a bad night, others seem to have had a better experience."
