"Situated conveniently between the Auction House, Opera House and station, on a quiet side street. The front of the restaurant opens out completely so on a warn day ask for a table near to the front of the restaurant or seek the shade further inside. The menu midi at 13 EU including wine or coffee (!) is about the market price for local customers wanting a working lunch and the quality is outstanding. The front of house staff are not only welcoming they are positively charming, attentive and efficient. The bar has a 50's retro style, very well executed. Its been full every time I have eaten there and there is a happy customer buzz. The customer base is mainly local working people, but also ladies who lunch and families too - some with small babies in prams which are happily accommodated. Because its off the beaten track the casual traveller is unlikely to stumble across it but its worth seeking out. The food is typically French bistro. Well cooked and presented. The entrees of salad de gesiers is one of the best I have ordered, and the cucumber salad with blue cheese and nuts is addictive. There are a good choice of main courses even at lunchtime. Try the tete de veau in a light sauce - its a regional speciality - its delicious or ail de rai (skate) with capers in black butter sauce. If you are very hungry order the whole camembert which comes with a healthy portion of locally cured ham and chips !!! Or order one to share with a carafe of cold rose wine. If you still have room for pudding, try the verrine au citron, (home-made lemon meringue pie in a glass) but in truth all of the puds are mouth watering. When we cant choose we often order two and share half and half !."

Lived up to previous visits. The girls are super, they fitted us in without a booking. Egg poached in cream of salmon was to die for. Hope to visit again soon

Simple family restaurant, good service, delicious meal, and very reasonable price! A bit of a time warp to the good old days when these type of restaurants served food made out real ingredients instead of pre -packed industry garbage. Do not change anything!

This Resto is placed around 10-15 mins walk from center, more local area. But out hotel was very close so it was good in the end after having a diner. Good quality foods with reasonable price. Staffs are very nice. Wine was very good too. BAny beef menu and desert are must to take. Better to make a reservation.

We visited this restaurant on our way to Paris from Bordeaux. The little place was cozy, almost felt like home. The service was awesome; the owners put their best effort to make us feel good. The food was good, although not exceptional. But after a month out of home the presentation of the food and overall feeling of this place was certainly very welcomed. We recommend it!

We came here for lunch. The menu de Jour was inexpensive and well cooked (the chocolate cake was particularly good) and the front of house staff were delightful. It was a Wednesday lunchtime in March and it was full, so book if you want to be sure of a table. A little off the beaten track, but only a five minute walk from the parking at Place Winston Churchill, and worth the effort.

Out side the trodden Rues and Cours of the Chateau area, this Bistrot is dominanted by two young women at front of house who deserve praise in how well they manange the pressure that being so good among the locals as well as we top ten trip-aps place on a business. We had to return twice to get a table, and it was well worth the delay. Chicken Gisards made an inexpensive though rare for Brits starter - and it tasted good. Encouraged us to venture further in foody-ism. Thank you

This is one of our favorite restaurants. When we have visitors from the States its our go to restaurant. It is not only the great French food but the warm experience provided every time we visit. We have been taking friends, family and people visiting for work for the past two years. I am happy to say after dining at Mimi's many times. The food and service has alway been wonderful. I like the escargot starter my husband always orders the salmon with poached egg stater. The duck is a great main dish. Everything is tasty. Be sure to make a reservation.

This is a small restaurant in a residential area of Limoges. It is easy to park nearby. We booked in advance and were seated in what we were told was the coolest part of the restaurant (it was ~32 degrees) but my husband's back was burning from the unshaded setting sun. The service was excellent, and although little English was spoken, they made every effort and so did we, and the waitresses were absolutely charming. We both had snails in a green peppercorn sauce in a puff pastry, which was tasty and plentiful. For mains, I had duck with cherries, which was very large and delicious. It was served with a choice of potatoes/starches, I chose dauphinoise, which were nice. My husband chose a ste...

"Only just of the beaten track which makes parking much easier! This restaurant is expensive in relation to others but is good value considering the quality and service. The menu takes a bit of working out as prices for steak are quoted by weight (multiples of 100gms) and the minimum weight you can order is also stated. To make matters more complicated you can also chose how many weeks the meat has been matured for. Whether you choose Classic or 4 week mature, the quality is all good and extremely well cooked. Even meat cooked very rare is melting. This is a "proper" steak restaurant so make sure you go for the steak. There are fixed price menus but I would keep it simple. Steak, chips with its side of vegetables. Pork and lamb is also available and there is a concession to non-meat eaters in the form of a mushroom omelette. I am sure it is delicious ......Wine is also priced at the top end and excellent. . House wine is also very acceptable.Whenever we have visited the clientele have been all French from the professional classes who are there to see and be seen. Its fascinating ! One little niggle. At the price, the amuse bouche could have been more exciting than a thin slice of fairly mundane salami with a chunk of bread. For faux filet (250 gms) and a large entrecote steak (450 gms) , with a bottle of AC Beaujolais the bill will be around 70 Euros. A starter and pud could increase that by at least 20 Euros. Nevertheless, recommended for the quality, service and ambience. The staff are really charming."
