"Hello we are going to this place on Saturday night, and I must admit that we were disappointed with the quality of the dishes, it is very expensive for what it is. I was told when I arrived in the area that it was the best table of houdan with another that is located at the bottom of the city, and I don't think I'm going to come back to the price I paid. It's too bad service, though. One example of the fat is marbling with a persilted jelly inside, in summary we were four and it cost me 290€ and only two desserts. "Apéritif très bon - Nous commandons une bouteille de vin et qu'elle ne fut pas notre surprise de voir que le responsable du bar ne connaissait pas la bouteille commandée ?? Alors qu' elle est à sa carte .. il nous est ensuite amené une bouteille déjà débouchée ( inutile de préciser que nous avions vu le barman remplir avec un cubis bien caché sous le bar cette fameuse bouteille qui en effet était déjà bien entamée avant notre arrivée....) la bouteille à bien évidement été renvoyée ...Plats de résistance insipides et pourtant ce n'était que des pâtes à la boulo et carbo, meme mon enfant de 6 ans n'a pas aiméses pâtes.. c pour dire , quant à mes Gambas flambées elles baignaient dans un jus d'eau ??? Et n'avaient aucun goût - Nous n'avons donc pas souhaité prendre de dessert logique .. et bien le menu enfant du petit a été compté en totalité malgré tout ..Nous avons fait part de notre mécontentement au serveur et on ne peut pas dire que les responsables soient commerçants ...120 euros de facture dont 58 euros de boisson pour un repas soit disant italien mais à la limite du mangeable c'est une honte À ne surtout pas conseiller- c'était ma première visite mais surtout la dernière ..."

"Tire Bouchon gave us a lovely meal. Tasty, variety of choice with a specials board. My lamb was fall off the bone tender. My wife’s fish was so flavourful. The waiter was helpful but struggled a little with English, not a problem for me but others in the restaurant was a little difficult. If I went back to Houdan I would probably choose another restaurant, only because there are others to try."

"We found this by chance on the way back from Rambouillet to Houdan, having found nowhere that appealed to us for lunch in Rambouillet. We have just return from our second visit. Our starters today were a tasty brûlée of goats cheese and I had pate de Houdan, a chicken pâte of a particular local breed of chicken served with mushrooms in pastry. I had offal on both occasions, kidneys and today liver. My wife also enjoyed the kidneys, well the perfume of them. I reeked of garlic for two days. I like my meat generally pink, and today's liver was about as soft as my wife's delicious scallops. She said that they would have been improved today by having a sauce with them, but still were very enjoyable. Although this was only our second visit there were many handshakes and welcomes, as if we were local residents. We would certainly return if in the area. Having carefully checked the opening times. It's closed Sunday and Tuesday evenings and all day Monday."
