"The service definitely needs improvement. The hostess who seated us in the dining area didn’t properly hand us over to the waitstaff. When the staff finally approached us, they were unaware that we had made a reservation for afternoon tea. During our meal, a staff member spilled my cup of tea twice while rearranging dishes on the table, yet they didn't offer to refill it. Additionally, there was a loud internal training session on gin for the entire waitstaff taking place right next to our table, which was quite disruptive. This was not what I expected from China Tang. While the food was decent, I was overall disappointed with the experience."

The staff was VERY VERY VERY NOISY. CONSTANT CHATTER AND FIGHTS IN THE KITCHEN. MADE OUR EXPERIENCE REALLY TERRIBLE.

Half the menu wasn’t available, the reservation was lost and we hate to wait for an hour at the bar, and the service was very poor.

It's been a while...but the food at China Tang especially the duck is still great...But as far as ambience and atmosphere is concerned it seems to have lost its mojo Ver carta

First Class! Another great evening spent in the wonderful China Tang A special mention to John who under his Watchful eye orchestrated a Sublime ambiance, as always we had attentive service and unrivalled food I still maintain this is the best restaurant in town. A big thanks to John and his entire team for looking after me and the wifey Be back soon

The food and service is second to none but there just isn’t any ambience anymore. The main dining room is too light and the side area for tables of two feels more like a side room for tables of two.. There are service stations everywhere and a waiter put down someone else’s half eaten olives onto our table. They had also run out of all the “go to” dishes which is a little crazy considering the numbers aren’t to capacity. The meal itself was great. Expensive but delicious.
