"love italian friends, who wants to stop the German kitchen or waive pasta or pizza, is right here. we spent two evenings in triberg in the parkhotel wehrle, where there are 2 restaurants with good German cuisine. my wife and I were a little bit uneasy from the usual ones we wanted to try on the first night, and on the second we returned. we have eaten: spaghetti with seafood (al dente cooked), perfect, excellent pizza, then the following evening: baked rigatoni gratinized, grilled puten slices with fresh grilled vegetables, perfect. for the sch espresso offered by restaurant, absolutely very good."

"Visited the STAUDE with my grandma. Super nice and warm welcome and a very comfortable room. All traditional Interieur of the old Black Forest house makes it nice and warm. And the room has been very quiet although it was nearly full (on Weekends better phone before).The food was fantastic. Small 'present from the kitchen' beforehand with fresh bread and Schmalz. Lot of choice from traditional dishes and also a three different 3 course menus for about 30-38 € which is very good price. The portions are big and the taste amazing. Had beef filet (perfectly cooked) with 2 butterfly Gambas. Very nice. The salad before was super nice as well...great mixed salad with a great dressing. Espresso - came with small Lebkuchen and chocolate. Thank you!We will definitely visit again to try the fresh Trout from their own farm."

(Als wir zu Abendessen bleiben wollten, erfuhren wir etwas harsch Sei haben nicht reserviert, wir sind voll. Auf die Nachfrage, wann wir doch kommen könnten erhielten wir die Antwort 20:00 Uhr oder später, aber keine Garantie. Wir sagten, wir würden uns anstellen und sehen wie sich die Lage entwickelt. da wir noch etwas Zeit bis 20:00 Uhr hatten, sind wir in den Wald und sind dann in der Nachbarortschaft gelandet, erstmals auf ein Bier, dann haben wir dor auch gegesen. Zurück im Hotel haben wir uns dann angehört Ich habe für Sie reserviert, aber egal. Und das wieder in etwas harschem Ton."

"I stopped in here for a much desired dinner after a long day on the road. I was hoping to find something traditional, and found a matron who received me equally well in German and English. She was truly pleasant, and attentive. It was clear she ran the front end of the restaurant. I went with a regional Swabian dish, the maltauschen. Every restaurant does their own version of this Germanic ravioli, so you can never count on getting the same one twice. In this case, it was pork mixed in with cheese and herbs, stuffed inside the ravioli. The cheese dominated the flavor palate, while the herbs added some note of savoriness, but the pork was rather lost, overall. So while I have had better maltauschen, I cannot complain, so as to suggest it as unworthy of ordering. This place was the first location I'd tried Furstenburg beers, which are entirely worth the while. Their standard Hefeweizen is perfectly clean and crisp, more like a Kolsch than a typically earthen Hefe. I have also had their Dunkelweize, which I would describe as equally smooth on the finish, though with more noticeable linger on the front end. The Hefe was a grand compliment to the maltauschen, and came recommended by the matron. While the food was certainly acceptable, and you can find better, you cannot find better people to serve it to you, and if you are mainly interested in warm savory comfort food, this is a great place to find it. For the extra effort in hospitality, I give them full credit, and if I am back in town, I will be back to the Wirtshaus, which feels like a mix of Cheers and neighborly local haunt, in which any tourist will find himself at home over a hot dish and a memorable beer."

"We went in on a Friday night for a few beers and dinner. After seating ourselves in the bar area tables, we realized that the atmosphere in this place is amazing! The mixture of different art styles covering every inch of wall makes it feel very cozy. My husband ordered off of the local menu- beef tongue, and it was AMAZING- tender and well seasoned. I got the Greek salad, because, well, after being in Germany so long, you crave vegetables. It was delicious and larger than most salads in Europe. Prices were reasonable, especially for beer. Great service, great food, and they didn't make us feel out of place for speaking English. It was an experience I'm glad we had. Eat here!"
