"We were recommended to visit here by Piero from the wine bar La Tana del Gufo Bar in via Cavour. Located on the backstreets behind the Duomo, this place is wonderful! Not a lot of foot traffic here. We visited twice, once for lunch and once for dinner(out of 3 days)and were extremely pleased on both occasions with the taste of the typical Sicilian food, the service and the friendly chats with MariaAngela. The degustation tasting plate for lunch was excellent value and the pasta Norma and swordfish for dinner were great. Wine was reasonably priced. We look for good value and local content and here we were not disappointed."

Take a walk 50m off the tourist track and away from the tourist traps for a beautiful evening of home-cooked Sicilian food in this lovely little restaurant.

Great place! We had one of our best dinner experiences in Ortigia at Clorofilla's. Freshly prepared food, friendly service and great wine, what you could ask otherwise. We're always coming, don't miss this!

Very average food eaten in an empty restaurant with the backdrop of loud repetitive jazz music. All was ok but nothing was excellent. Expensive for what we ate which may explain why we were the only people there

Really delicious, unpredictable and affordable Sicilian cuisine. A very nice experience in the bistro or outside in the few tables that the host has set up. A nice break from the tourist hoopla just one block or two away. Ver carta

Unpretentious, out of the way fabulous example of sicilian home cooking, cooked in front of you, delicious flavours.. caponata, bruchetta, sea bass.. everything so fresh and tasty.. a real treat and worth going back.. we did..

We very much enjoyed the cosy place that is central but yet laid back and distinctive from other,very touristy offerings.we can definitely recommend the Sicilian antipasti menu with excellent homemade aubergine and caponara.excellent and friendly service too

Wow that was just what we needed! After some wandering around the quiet backstreets away from the more generic spots we stumbled across this one and something just pulled us in. Thank god it did it was perfect. Absolutely to be recommended for its tasty home cooked fresh food, amazing fish dishes and attentive, kind service. Go and eat there! Ver carta

I was a bit uncertain when we walked in here as it was empty but we were desperate to get out of the rain and everywhere else seemed booked up; luckily it turned out well! I don't think there was anything mind-blowing about the menu or the food but we had a lovely meat platter, cheese platter and a tomato based pasta, all of which was very tasty. Staff were lovely and although it's tiny there's an open kitchen so you can see what's going on.

We came across this restaurant by chance just around the corner from where we staying. A simple choice of menu but the food and wine were excellent the shared Sicilian platter of meat and cheese followed by swordfish pasta and fennel, orange and sun dried tomato salad, all delicious! Both red and white wine also lovely, followed by lemon sorbet, coffee and amari, with friendly, personal service. In addition, our dog was made most welcome! Recommended!

"a dinner in general good, though with some dripping. the quality of raw materials is certainly excellent but not always appreciated at the most. I felt a bit on the roller coaster with a beaten finish. Although the place I like for its modern and minimal style, I find that there is a lack of personality and identity. the atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. the service was accurate, punctual and never intrusive. special mention to the sommelier who recommended me a great wine and a novelty for me, with the menu degotato. begins with a degotation of oil and focaccia. Stop, you can't leave! among other things all yeast from their products are very unified. the moment of the event is an explosion of flavors, three particular and delicious finger food, especially the enamelled fig. the appetizer provides tuna with figs and pistachios. He was melting in his mouth. pat the bowl with high edges, in which it was served, which made the ooo of knife and fork difficult and the experience less pleasant. the first small descent arrives. spaghetti (for my slightly back cooking) with black garlic, with chili oil and I could stop here because the goto of marinated and burrata shrimp was completely covered. the burrata, in fact, was not allowed. as if it had fallen by mistake, just to get the dish dirty. I forgot that each dish had flowers, which did not add anything except decoration. No, thank you. Ultimately, as a client who loves to eat and as a professional who works with restaurants and hotels, I find that there are many good ideas that can be done better, and I know that it will be presumptuous, but I recommend to the chef to take a good pastry. because a sweet conclusion is everything that seeks the customer, as well as the last thing that will remember."
