"Chosen from the outside appearance as looking more promising than some of the others in the town, modern, super counters of pastries. What a disappointment! They appeared to be preparing for a big event so more than half the menu was off and customers were...neglected. No pizzas of their menu), though we were hoping for better. Not much else either, just a choice of two ragus, one named as bolognese, the other fish we had one of each very poor indeed, and VERY slow service. Not given any bread with the meal though the next table were given two lots but the waitress didn't notice or care. No towels in the wc. Plastic throw-away cups for water. No explanations of what actually were available, just a take it or leave it' attitude. We should have left it and gone right away. Sloppy surly service. Very noisy, thoroughly unpleasant overall. Never got to try any of the good looking pastries as a result but won't be going back for another try. Worst meal we had in Sicily, worst in Italy, worst anywhere some years."

We came here after a whole day of sea in the evening. we have taken oranges, shorts and other Sicilian specialties from gastronomy we say. It was really good! Go absolutely. I'll come back to try everything I couldn't take

Friday night and we dropped in to have a meal as we hadn't tried this place...ohhh....how we wished we had gotten here sooner. Outstanding restaurant and food shop combined...brilliant pizzas and pasta and absolutely superb ice cream. The Owner was courteous and explained how she...had wanted to bring some of the NY gastronome food shop restaurant to this part of Sicily ...she did...top marks and really with visiting ...plus... unbelievably fast wifi Ver carta

This clean and attractive cafe seems to be popular with local folks along the waterfront, and we had a wonderful lunch there on the recommendation of a tour guide from Agrigento. I had a spaghetti with pesto and small shrimp. It was a generous serving...and excellent. The place functions also as a wine bar, and the local wines by the glass are superb. The service is pleasant and helpful; the woman in charge speaks flawless English, but everyone will respond to your Italian as well. We enjoyed it very much.

"I am not usually one for writing reviews but the following needs to be said. We booked based on the reviews here on Trip Advisor and were so disappointed that we left after the anti pasti. The dining room had all the atmosphere of a school dining room, even the distant temples could not compensate. The service was sub standard from outset and only deteriorated. This is not a restaurant it is a hotel dining room and not even a very stylish one. The wine list had so many options crossed out that it looked as if they hadn’t restocked in a while. Despite asking recommendations the staff only offered the white they had open so I decided not to go with a bottle. The food was not cheap but based on reviews I expected good things and being in sight of the sea I went with the seafood anti pasti to be followed by tuna. The seafood was poor, not fresh and the prawns were so far gone they had the texture of paste. As a result of the quality of the food on top of the poor room and poor service we left the table and went to reception to register our dissatisfaction. Even after such feedback they still charged for what we had had although with a discount. Now, writing this within half an hour of leaving, I have already developed stomach cramps and sweats. I can tell I have an evening of unpleasantness ahead… the classic dodgy prawn! This is not the experience I expected from the Academy of Good Taste and cannot recommend it in any way. If in search of a good restaurant the advice from this trip keep scrolling!"
