beautiful sunday roast. good selection of meat and veg was perfectly cooked. it needs more force. the staff was friendly and the service was fast. beautiful old building! look forward to eating there again.

Have visited this lovely place in the past and always had great food and service, this time it was to celebrate our daughters birthday, yet again the meals and deserts was excellent along with wonderful staff and great value to. We’ll done yet again

We've been to the Cowick Barton many times have always had good service and good food. Have had 2 birthday meals there with large groups of people , the dishes have always come out together with the correct orders. I think it's good value for money too. Ver carta

on a positive the environment is pleasant and the personal is pleasant and attentive. but the sampi was okay, but in portions was small. my wife had Ponsh fish and chips, not on all posh, only very cut. I'm sorry, I won't go back unless eating improves.

We had a fabulous night for our Christmas meal. There were of us in total and from start to finish, we couldn’t fault the service we received. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. Highly recommend. Thank you, you made it a night to...remember!

always excellent, I was here for a drink and also to eat, and at everyone I am happy to go back. I have taken friends, family and my dog, and we all agree that eating is excellent, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is all they want from a traditional pub. if you want a friendly reception, high quality food and a place for your four-legged friend, then the cowick barton is the place to visit. Oh, they also make fantastic beer!

We managed to get a late booking for dinner this evening and oh my days what a great evening we had. For starters we shared the brie wedges, king prawns and calamari absolutely lush! We both had perfect steaks with delicious freshly homemade sauce. The desserts did not disappoint, sticky toffee pudding and lemon posset. We were in food heaven. To stop off our lovely evening we got to meet Toby the gorgeous St Bernard pub dog. The food is delicious and the service is great. Visiting is a must. You won't regret it!

Staying in the area on holiday and chose this for our anniversary meal. Varied menu reasonably priced. We had the fillet steak and the whole meal was beautiful. Freshly grilled cherry tomatoes. The batter on the onion rings was so light and crispy. The steaks were beautifully cooked and everything was so hot my husband burnt his mouth. We also had starters which were excellent. The two waiting staff were very efficient and friendly. The only negative was they don't sell my husband's favourite beer which is stella artois! Ver carta
