Fleur de Sel - Carta

Charming small restaurant. Good simple French cuisine. Lovely setting roses at the window blowing in the breeze from the river.

Lovely service. Cosy, Intimate little place for galettes and crèpes. Local wine by the glass. Next to river with a quaint view. Nicely appointed dining room.

All our crepes were very nice but the prices were a bit on the high side €10.50 for a dessert crepe? Lovely spot on the river, but not sure why this place has got so many excellent reviews. Ver carta

I came to Fleur de Sel with my family while touring Montsoreau and we had a delightful meal! The restaurant is family owned and accommodating to allergies! The waitstaff was very friendly and the food was all delicious!

The place was very quiet (mid week, early season) but the welcome was warm (even if the restaurant was not - but a pashmina was offered to my wife). The food was good - typical French crepes, savoury and sweet. Just what we needed, and we were grateful for it.

I wanted to like this simple restaurant but it was a let down in so many ways. There was the smell of friend food in the dining room, the wine was not good, there was no bread served with my omelette, the food did not justify the wild overpricing in quality or portions, and the coffee was cold and tasted of dish water. We were in Montsoreau for the weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. We called in this little creperie on the off chance on the Saturday lunchtime. We were so impressed by both the food and the proprietor that we booked again for a meal on Sunday evening. The food was delicious and fresh, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely wine. The ingredients are sourced locally and prepared with love. I had a st jaques crepe which was fabulous. Really fresh st jaques.Many thanks to Madame for making my wife's special day.

After spending the day at Fontevraud Abbey which is amazing I decided to go for dinner. Unfortunately the experience at Fontevraud couldn't have been worse if they tried. 1st the Abbey's 3 restaurants were closed, why I don't know. Then in the village the Plantagenet Restaurant although half empty and 30 mins before closing time decided they didn't want my custom. So I went down to the Loire River and found this amazing Crepe Restaurant run by Cecile and her daughter and son. They were welcoming and had no issue with serving me although almost 9.30pm. The food was wonderful and good value. Do yourself a big favour if your visiting the abbey forget anywhere else and just go there

We had spent most of the day visiting sights and doing the tourist thing. Once again most of the restaurants had shut for lunch and we felt a bit peckish. We went into Fleur de Sel across the road from the Loire River and they were very welcoming and happy to serve us. So we just ordered a savory crepe each.(scallops,spinach and cream crepe / bacon and cheese crepe which also included an egg) They where so delicious that we decided we had to have a sweet crepe as well and they where truly simple but outstanding ( honey and almond crepe / fresh apricot,honey and vanilla icecream crepe) Nearly all the produce used in this little creperie is organic and locally sourced.
