"Decided to go for tea on Friday the 15th of December. We've been before and really enjoyed the food beer and atmosphere. I WOULD ADVISE BOOKING AS IT GETS REALLY BUSY AT WEEKENDS AND SOME WEEK DAYS. Decided to go for large fish in beer batter and fat chips with mushy peas . What a choice it was. Absolutely amazing. Now we've not long since come back from whitby and sampled the local fish and chips including the magpie cafe. These fish and chips from the crown wharf were nicer to my delight and i couldn't believe that there was no grease or oil anywhere to be seen or tasted. Absolutely fantastic meal and service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

A great refurbished place, with some good shout outs to the history. Not a local pub vibe, but good for visitors, and a great outdoors in summer. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

This restaurant offers an excellent dining experience. With prices ranging from £10 to £20 per person, you’ll enjoy top-notch food rated a perfect 5. The service is equally impressive, also scoring a 5, making your visit enjoyable and welcoming. The atmosphere is delightful, earning another 5, creating a perfect backdrop for your meal. I highly recommend trying the Roast Beef – it’s a standout dish!

"This was our second visit here. We were seated to the left by the door where all the staff stand. Every other diner went to the right so we were sat alone for most of the night. There was no atmosphere and just the staff waiting around by the side of our table. We checked the menu beforehand and were then disappointed when we arrived to see a different menu. The portion sizes were incredibly small. What we had was very nice but we left a little hungry."

"17.11.21. This wouldn't be my first choice for a meal out. I'm more of a trad pub grub person. However, despite the higher price it was very good and worth the money. £14 burger and similar for fish £17 and pork £17 dishes. Childs gammon at £5 cant go wrong. And the Christmas turkey dinner looked excellent at £17. I wouldn't pay the steak prices. Service was spot on and the restaurant itself is classy and impressive. I'll definitely go back and try something other than the burger. Although it was substantial and very tasty some other dishes looked even better. The onion rings side order are very large and best shared. At £88 for 4 adults and 1 child the quality and price are very competitive. 24.11.21. 2nd visit. Usual high standards as last week. The chicken skewer was divine with the yellow curry and coconut rice. Hope to go again next week. Christmas turkey also spot on."

"Amazing pizza and a wonderfully cozy restaurant with fantastic service. The food was excellent! I loved the chorizo and potato starter, as well as the garlic mushrooms. The pizza dough was delicious—definitely the best pizzas we've had in a long time. The apple crisp was also remarkable, with beautifully cooked apples that were both soft and crisp. We’ve passed by so many times without trying it, and I wish we had come sooner! The three-course meal cost just £38 per person, including wine and drinks. This is the best restaurant in Stone by a mile!"

"We held a Christmas party for a group of independent businesses at the mill last night, and it was absolutely delightful. The food was exceptional, and the staff were excellent and incredibly friendly! Their Christmas party menu was perfect—truly, the best turkey dinner I’ve ever had in a restaurant! We also tried the beef wellington and the paella, both of which received great reviews from our group. We couldn’t have eaten another bite! The restaurant opened just for us, as they usually don’t open on Sundays, which was a pleasant surprise. There was no rush for us to leave; it was a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable experience! If you’re planning a Christmas party, I highly recommend the Mill!"

"This place was supposed to be a great location for a work's Christmas do and our second time here. Meal was o.k., although the service was actually pretty good. Unfortunately the night was spoilt by a young lad barging into ladies in our group. Door staff were informed and refused to eject him. The meant two of our party left out of disgust. Shortly afterwards the same male tried assaulting another member of our party. This time the door staff ejected the member of our party! We are all middle aged people who were enjoying a catch up with colleagues and partners. it was completely destroyed by this individual and the door staff's inept behaviour and inaction. What on earth are they there for?? I'm going to make an assumption that the lad was a regular as I can't think of any reason why they would have taken this stance. Or perhaps they were just afraid of doing their job? Needless to say we won't be going back won't be recommended this as a safe place to go to. If the management wish to speak to me about this I am more than happy to."
