"This was our second visit here. We were seated to the left by the door where all the staff stand. Every other diner went to the right so we were sat alone for most of the night. There was no atmosphere and just the staff waiting around by the side of our table. We checked the menu beforehand and were then disappointed when we arrived to see a different menu. The portion sizes were incredibly small. What we had was very nice but we left a little hungry."

"We had a wonderful meal on Mothers Day. Everyone enjoyed every part of the meal. Very pleasant and attentive staff as well. The only problem we had was they didn't have enough baby seats, although this was very quickly resolved. I would most certainly like to to again, maybe to try their full a l carte menu."

"Staff were absolutely lovely and so friendly, everywhere was clean and tidy. My only criticism is that the beef main off the Christmas menu was quite tough. Overall a lovely establishment and would definitely revisit."

"This was our first visit to the Fitzherbert Arms and we went with a group of friends on a chilly Tuesday night. They don 't accept bookings and we initially struggled to find an empty table for 6 but eventually managed to put one together, it is obviously popular with locals. Inside it 's a lovely cosy old pub (helped by the open fire) with quirky decor and mismatched furniture, you immediately feel at home. To start we had 2 sharing plates and there was more than enough for our party. All of the main courses appeared genuinely home made and we could not fault them, especially the 'legendary ' steak pie which really was memorable. There was a good choice of cask beers and a decent range of moderately priced wines. Somewhere to return to but it is a bit out of the way for us."

"Amazing pizza and a wonderfully cozy restaurant with fantastic service. The food was excellent! I loved the chorizo and potato starter, as well as the garlic mushrooms. The pizza dough was delicious—definitely the best pizzas we've had in a long time. The apple crisp was also remarkable, with beautifully cooked apples that were both soft and crisp. We’ve passed by so many times without trying it, and I wish we had come sooner! The three-course meal cost just £38 per person, including wine and drinks. This is the best restaurant in Stone by a mile!"
