"Sehr schöne Wellnessbereich und Außenpool, den mal allerdings nur erreicht indem man über die Hauptstraße läuft. Einzelzimmer sind von der Einrichtung veraltet aber dafür sehr sauber. Störend war daß mehrmals ca.20 mal am Tag) die Angestellten über die zum Zimmer gehörende Terasse gelaufen sind. Hat mit Privatsphäre nichts zu tun. Das Frühstück war super und eine sehr große Auswahl. Das Abendbuffet war geschmacklich ok. Außer der Fisch. Dieser war immer verkocht und schmeckte daher leider nicht. Auch gab es an 5 Tagen hintereinander nie Kartoffeln. Zum Spargel hätte ich mir das gewünscht! Saunabereich sehr schön öffnet leider unter der Woche erst 15 Uhr. Für ein Wellness Hotel mir zu spät. Der Servicepersonal sehr freundlich, allerdings wurde man oft nicht verstanden. Mit Hilfe andere Angestellter wurde sich aber um Anliegen sofort gekümmert. Alles in Allem schöner Wellnessbereich, sauberes Hotel in Serviceangelegenheiten könnte es etwas besser laufen."

"Standortbedingt weniger für Action sondern mehr zum relaxen oder ausruhen. Für Besprechungen oder Schulungen existieren sachlich eingerichtete Seminarräume.Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und mit Balkon versehen. Einzig bei den weichen Matratzen hätte ich persönlich, diese etwas härter bevorzugt. Aber das ist wohl eher einer persönlichen Gewohnheit geschuldet.Der Nassbereich ist absolut sauber und neuwertig.eingerichtet.Beim Essen, egal zu welcher Tageszeit ist man sehr gut aufgehoben. Das liegt nicht nur am guten Essen sondern auch an den sehr hilfsbereiten und netten Mitarbeitern.Alles in allem, egal wenn man dort übernachtet: Ob es betrieblich, über den Verein oder im familiären Bereich genutzt wird es ist zu empfehlen."

"The dining facilities at our lodging were temporarily closed, and our hosts in Hammelbach recommended Hagen. We called for a 7:30PM reservation. We arrived about 7:32PM and were surprised to be gently admonished for being late. It was soon cleared up, as the reservation had been noted as a 6:30PM. Nonetheless, our table was ready, menus given, and orders taken. A salad bar accompanied most meals, and this was our first experience with this in Germany. There were about a dozen items: the usual leafy mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, quartered boiled eggs, but also (as should be expected the tasty German salads: Weißkraut, Karottensalat, Grünbohnen, and more. The restaurant was busy, so the salad bar showed a little wear and tear, but was a nice addition all things considered. Our main courses were the rump steak with onions and fries, and the turkey with curry sauce and sweet potato fries. The turkey dinner arrived at least 5 minutes before the steak. (About 6 plates passed our table en route to other diners in the interim. When the steak finally came and was cut, it was declared perfectly done! The turkey was also good, and the sweet potato fries were wonderful! The price was reasonable, and the place was busy (and a little noisy natutally with customers of all ages. With relatively few choices in the area, Hagen is a good option."

"Very nice and lovingly designed coffee. Large kitchen selection and the cheese poppy was very good. There is also an outdoor area. Absolute recommendation as a possibility to return on the hike. You can also visit the Hüttenthal-Molkerei (sale except Sunday) a few meters away."
