what a nice night we had in the speissekammer. we have selected 4 dishes with weeps selected by the waiter. really nice experience with wonderful weeping! really recommended

An outstanding meal with wines for each course chosen by the sommelier in a very modern building. We had a rucola/goat's cheese salad, home-smoked salmon, large grilled prawns and a salmon trout filet, but only one dessert of Bavarian cream, chocolate gel and sorbet. The...wine waiter described the wine for each dish and why he recommended them. It was a memorable, special evening. Probably more for couples than families. Would definitely recommend it.

Very nice atmosphere, great service, really great food. We very strongly recommend lobster, Atlantikhummer, with cuscus, vegetables and a great sauce. Dessert: if you choose “eine kleine Nachtmusik” you will hear the angels singing. Guest are also nicely treated with multiple “greetings from the kitchen”...The personnel makes really the extra effort to satisfy customers in a very professional way. Keep it for the last evening, as it will be very hard to have a better dinner.

We had dinner one night at this restaurant. The staff was very pleasant and it is a nice an modern place which is rare in Oberstaufen. Good service and decent wines. Unfortunately, there is room for improvement with the food. My Maultaschen pasta had an...overpowering spice in it that made them taste like dishsoap, the Wild Boar was pretty tough and my husband's fish was breaded and oily. The salad was delicious and the slow cooked beef that we were given as compensation was a delight.

I'm not a big fan of fancy places in general but this was a pleasant surprise. Honestly, when I and my friends came into the place we weren't sure if it was a cafe or a restaurant. However, when we asked about food, the waitress...was pleasant and spoke English, even translating the menu for us. Two of us had the burger and the other two had the fish. Everything was quite tasty and I'd give the burger a B as an American that loves a good burger. The atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed a lovely evening outside on the patio. This place is new, nice and has a great selection of wines, but it's Bavaria so there is always beer.

Welch superschöne Überraschung. Wir sind spontan in Die.Speisekammer und wurden vom freundlich, kompetenten Service und von ausgesprochenen Köstlichkeiten aus der Küche verwöhnt. Da wir nicht die ganze (kleine aber feine) Speisekarte rauf und runter essen konnten, sind wir am Folgeabend gleich nochmals als begeisterte Gäste eingekehrt. Die Vorspeisen wie Makrele Sushi mit gebratene Petersiliencreme oder Zweierlei von violetter Artischocke, Minze, Polentacreme und Sesampesto waren excellente Starter.
