This pub is unique, in so far as it has its own brewery. It serves fabulous home cooked food. The menu is small which is great, as the chef can concentrate on making a small selection of dishes fabulous. Sunday lunch is fabulous. The taste of the food is unbelievable. If you want a rural, no frills pub, with friendly staff, a warm welcome, great food and a great pint this is a place for you. If you want fancy surroundings and plush decor maybe give it a swerve.

We started with the halloumi fries drizzled with thyme honey (what a delightful surprise—I now need to get some thyme honey for myself!). For our main courses, we had fish and chips and a chicken burger. Both dishes were generously portioned (a note to myself: skip lunch if you're planning to have dinner here!), freshly made, incredibly tasty, and beautifully presented. The homemade chips were simply to die for! Thank you for a wonderful dinner; we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place!
