I had a fantastic burger and excellent coffee during my lunch. The service was exceptional. The meal was priced around £20–30 per person. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well. I highly recommend the beef burger!

What an incredible experience! The food was absolutely outstanding—great quality and cooked to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We sat by the large open fire, which created a warm and cozy atmosphere, complete with small candles. The food was excellent, no question about that. The restaurant is entered through the attractively decorated whisky bar in the hotel, which makes the appearance of the restaurant itself even more disappointing. The room is bland apart from a few images painted on the walls. There are no tablecloths even and the whole ambience fails to reflect the high standard of cooking and especially the prices charged. Similarly the waiting staff need to be better trained as they really do not appear to know how to take orders, deliver and take away plates and present the bill. Again this does not reflect the prices charged.

We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned two nights later to celebrate our actual anniversary dinner. The front-of-house manager recognized us immediately and welcomed us warmly, maintaining that friendly atmosphere for our second visit. Without a doubt, whenever we plan a return trip to Scotland, Greens will be on our itinerary! As for pricing, both visits cost us around £30-40 per person, which included one drink, one entrée, and one dessert — a truly reasonable price. Regarding vegetarian options, while I didn't specifically ask, I noticed plenty of items marked with (VE) for vegetarian.
