Highland Spice - Carta

Just had two of the best dishes in a long time. We had a Lamb Bhuna and a Chicken Lemon and Coriander. Very good and excellent service.

We ordered takeout from Highland Spice and found it to be average at best. The curries lacked flavor and were quite bland. Additionally, the portion size of the chicken pakora was small for the price.

The food was delicious, but paying £12 for 6 poppadoms and a small pickle tray is ridiculous. Our bill came to £102, with two of the children sharing a curry and the other only having a starter. This is outrageous. Ver carta

We visited Highland Spice for a takeaway on our last night in Dornoch. We had the Tandoori platter which, despite our initial worry that the bag felt very light compared to our takeaway at home, was plenty for 2 of us very tasty. We were able to walk back to the campsite still enjoy a hot meal. Highly recommend

We visited on a Sunday evening. Google’s results suggested it was permanently closed but we went to look anyway because everything else was closed after 8. It was very much open and we had a great meal. Very typical of a decent local Indian restaurant. We had rice, naans, popadoms and mains. All good. Service was also good.

Best Indian food for miles (and their Fish and Chips from their shop next door is brilliant too). Lovely large menu and everything we've tried so far has been delicious. The staff are always very friendly too. Like many places in Dornoch, the prices are a little higher than surrounding towns but in this case, their food is definitely worth the cost. Ver carta

We enjoyed a fantastic meal at this charming restaurant. We ordered curry with rice, naan bread, and pakora for our daughter, and all of the dishes were absolutely delicious. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive, even making jokes to entertain our daughter. We highly recommend dining in or getting takeout from this restaurant, as the food was excellent.

Fairly disappointing experience £40 for all seen in pictures for such small portions and the kebab was £8 for a few bits of kebab meat, it was a tasty kebab but price too high, also they forgot chips and cheese and couldn't offer to deliver there mistake so had to walk another 10 minutes to pick it up, the guy was very apologetic and gave extra but still quite a disappointing experience considering one of few take aways that's there, I feel they could do allot better.

Went here for dinner on our overnight stay in Dornoch and I wouldn’t visit again. Customer service was so/so. Popadoms were fresh and hot, lovely with the dip tray. Starters were nice also. The problem was with the main, rice is small probably only suitable for one person, we were served chippy chips which to me is awful with an indian dinner! The chicken tikka masala tasted like what can only be described as a sweet and sour sauce it was awful. Garlic nan bread had nothing garlic about it was burnt and tasted like oil. Definitely wouldn’t visit again. Ver carta
