Eastern Origin - Carta

Having sampled a takeaway several months ago I thought it would be a change to go and have a sit down meal, not disappointed. The Oriental soup I had as a starter was so good I had two helpings and the beef in black bean...sauce was superb, the meat just melted in your mouth.

This Chinese restaurant is my absolute favorite. It has consistently maintained its high quality of service and food over the years, unlike other restaurants that may have declined in quality. I can always count on getting the same delicious meals and excellent service that I remember from years ago. I have no complaints and hope they never change.

Although it looks a bit sad on outside this is a lovely resturant. The staff were very helpful, food excellent good value for money. We had £16 set meal with extra noodle dish. Plenty of food we struggled to eat it all, bit too...much broccoli onions but that our personal taste. Meat tender sauces tasty, glad we ignored outside decor as had lovely unrushed evening. There is not a lot of great places to eat in Bangor and when we turned up to an almost empty place we did wonder. The menu is completely predictable for a Chinese but the point is, it is really well done and very tasty....This is not fine dining but is way better than most Chinese’s. And it was a bargain. We had a half duck and a number of dishes meal for 4 with drinks £80.

I'd googled restaurants in Bangor for lunch while I'd be there, I was intrigued by the menu, on how cheap it was, maybe the food isn't good ?, buy on the contrary, the food was first class, I ordered the salt n chilli ribs and...the beef curry, both were excellent, I couldn't fault either, plus the excellent service was an added bonus, a definite return visit next time I'm in Bangor

Service was great here. Adhered to social distancing rules. We ordered a takeaway which is cheaper than the sit in menu. The food was hot fresh and plentiful. Only flaw I can note is that the chips weren't hand cut chips. Personal preference for me...but there we go. I would highly recommend this place for a Chinese. No grease whatsoever. I didn't feel dirty after eating it like I do with some Chinese food. Ver carta

There aren't many great dining options in Bangor, so we were a bit skeptical when we arrived at a nearly empty restaurant. The menu is typical for a Chinese restaurant, but the food is exceptional and delicious. It may not be upscale dining, but it's definitely better than most Chinese restaurants. Plus, it's very affordable. We ordered a half duck and several dishes for four people, including drinks, for only £80.

As this is the only chinese restaurant listed in One Delivery I decided to order.A one course meal for two including delivery was £29.00 a bit expensive I thought.But I wouldn't have minded if it had been good.On the positive side the meal was delivered...bang on time and there was a lot of food.BUT none of the food was good.In fact I can honestly say that it was the worst chinese food i have eaten in over fifty years of eating chinese food.We left most of it.I just wish more Chinese Restaurants would deliver to Rhiwlas.

On a rainy summer Sunday in Bangor without the students around, it can be difficult to find restaurants serving non-carvery food as many establishments are closed. Fortunately, Eastern Origin was open for lunch and dinner, offering a variety of dishes. During our previous visit, the food was enjoyable but the decor of the restaurant was outdated. We were pleased to see that the restaurant had been renovated with new carpets, painted walls, and fresh linens. The menu featured traditional British Chinese dishes as well as more authentic Chinese options. We decided to try dim sum, crackling pork, char siu, rice, and vegetable noodles, all of which were plentiful, delicious, and served quickly.... Ver carta
