"Me and my friend, we went to this buffet with high hopes. But left extremely unsatisfied, we were rushed basically. We were instantly asked what would we like, before even being sat down. We said I guess the buffet. So we start eating, now the server comes over to friend who has got half plate of food and she asks, are you done. Then she returns 1 minute later and asks are you done with your pint. And we say. Hmm its still got half left in the glass. She dissappears and drops a tray of plates. Huge noise. And when we wanted to leave to ask for the bill, she gives us a hfft sound. We were exactly 30mins. We did not enjoy this. Hate to be rushed to eat. I get longer breaks in work to eat. Would give 0 stars if possible."

Went Friday night and again Saturday night Why waste money on anything else The service is quick the food is hot and lots of choice One small tip….. maybe some quiet background Chinese music to drown out the slight canteen style noise from people chatting Won’t stop us going every visit to llandudno

Fantastic meal and a lovely, friendly welcome. Buffet style starters and desserts with the main meal made to order. Very good value for money. Drinks a little expensive however that is the case with most restaurants. Initially a little hard to find as its an upstairs restaurant with the entrance between two shops but well worth the trouble. Would highly recommend and will return the next time I stay in Llandudno Ver carta

It is an odd place, small, and quite cramped. The starter buffet was quite good plenty of choice only drawback only a small area so big queues formed. The main course you ordered at table, these meals eere quite delicious. Didn't bother with dessert. The restaurant dtaff wer'e amazing so hard working. All in all a great night and fantastic value for money meal I mean £17 for all this knockers get a grip this isn't fine dining, but with a bigger room it could do very well.

After reading other reviews I was sure what to make of this place so we decided to try it. It didn't live up to the 5 stars people have left on here. The place itself is an odd affair, strangely decorated and of a canteen feel about it. The food isn't great, I constantly got a weird stale background taste even with the fried rice. The food wasn't tasty. As mentioned before there's not a vast range of starters. 1 toilet available for all the restaurant! Staff were friendly and helpful. Sadly I won't visit again

Delicious freshly cooked ‘All you can eat Buffet’. The large variety of starters that are replenished regularly are on display so that you can help yourself as often as you want, as are the desserts. Then you order your main courses from the extensive menu and this is freshly cooked to order and brought to your table. We had a fabulous tasty meal and will most definitely become regular visitors to this restaurant, the staff are friendly and helpful and we shall be recommending this place to friends and family. Your not telling me that wastage that goes back isnt re- introduced back to supposed fresh meals?? Because within each meal we ordered there was an instance of SPOILED food. by spoiled i mean food that has the sizzle on the tongue of food that is most UNEQUIVOCALY on the TURN .How do these s holes escape a visit from trading standards. If you get some chunks of meat in this case also Green Pepper that is both fresh and ON THE TURN in the same meal,it doesnt take a rocket scientist to realise there is ADDITIONS to a meal that is UNHEALTHY OFF .I will be reporting them .

The Emperor is a fantastic buffet style restaurant which caters for all tastes. We were truly impressed with the quality and freshness of the food served. The restaurant was extremely busy but staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive. A real gem in the heart of Llandudno offering high quality and authentic Asian food in a buffet style. We were impressed that all main courses we cooked to order from the menu and offered a good choice of meat, prawn and vegetarian options. Meanwhile starters and deserts were buffet style. All food was unlimited in quantity and offered incredible value for money. First class! Don't be put off by the negative reviews!

"Whenever I get the inclination to write a review it’s usually because it’s so good and I want to shout about my experience to everyone… however this is not my usual 5* recommendation! As locals we have visited this cafe on a few occasions for breakfast or a coffee stop. It’s a great location, nice decor, dog friendly and delicious food. What’s not to like? Well, the staff, or more specifically the owner! She lacks any customer service skills, she smiles through gritted teeth, orders her staff around while she stands observing (or waiting for an argument . Each time we’ve visited she’s had an issue with something. Once she argued with me because I asked for my latte to be served in a cup rather than a tall glass. She proceeded to try and educate me on coffee making (I’m barista trained ! She reluctantly gave me it to me in a mug with a jug of extra milk which wouldn’t fit into the mug anyway! More recently we arrived, it was quiet, and chose to sit in the window (the largest table as we had our dog and didn’t want him to be in the way. She rushed over and demanded we sat at another table because she “couldn’t afford for us to take up a larger table”. We moved without an issue but she was very confrontational (as always and made the rest of our dining experience uncomfortable. So uncomfortable in fact that despite being ravenous we almost didn’t order. The cafe remained quiet throughout our time there, plenty of empty tables and yet she proceeded to use the larger window table to accommodate her staff, herself and a friend who popped in. How is that fair? So my advice to you as a fellow catering/ hospitality manager is… Learn from your Trip Advisor feedback, Book yourself on a free customer service course and lead by example and if you are worried about costs reduce the number of staff. 5 staff on duty in a cafe that seats approx 25 people at full capacity is not needed. Maybe the owner should put her feet up at home and let the lovely younger people do their thing. They all look so nervous around her and are almost too afraid to speak. I’m sure they’d do a far better job without her monitoring their every move. Even the Chef (her husband maybe? looks petrified of her!! Certain people are not cut out for customer facing roles and she is one of them! I’m pretty sure she doesn’t read any of these reviews as she’s been like this since my first visit 5 years ago!! What a shame. This place could be a thriving business and a welcoming village cafe but I’m sure her confrontational attitude and unwelcoming nature put people off from returning. Such a shame as the food and coffee are delightful"
