"I arrived at the restaurant around 2pm looking for a coffee, snack, or late lunch. After a brief 5-minute wait, we were seated at a table that did not have any cutlery or menus. We had to ask for them, which took another 5 minutes. Despite waiting 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order, we were unsuccessful in using the app as the items we wanted were not available. After asking 3 different staff members for assistance, it took an additional 5-10 minutes for someone to finally come take our order. We were asked for payment before receiving our food, which arrived sporadically - some immediately, some without drinks, and some without food at all. The service was disorganized and the items we ordered were overpriced for the quality we received. The rarebit was poorly prepared, with only one small corner melted and the rest cold and unappetizing. The gelato milkshake was lukewarm and tasted mostly of milk and cheap syrup. Overall, our experience was very disappointing, especially considering the high price we paid. We will not be returning for a second visit."

I went with a friend for lunch on a Friday and ordered the haddock, chips, and mushy peas. The fish was fresh, large, and a good size, and the chips were delightful. The drinks were good and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place.

The concept and set up is nice. The ambience and service is also good. However I found the quality of food wanting. We had the Sunday roast, the beef was severely overcooked, the Yorkshire was a little burnt and hard, and the roast potatoes were...

We ordered our food but it did not come as requested. Our drinks, including the orange juice, did not arrive until 10 minutes after we had finished our food. Even then, the orange juice and tea came first, followed by the coffee 5 minutes later. My daughter was so thirsty that she asked for a drink from my orange juice. The staff were polite, but there clearly seems to be a bottleneck somewhere. I did not expect this level of service when paying £60.

Hi. Sadly to say this visit wasn't as we'd hoped or what we're used to..although my husband's meal was satisfactory...mine however wasn't up to par. I ordered the rarebit minus the chilli..which was done...but the actual cheese on the toast was very sparce and in ratio to the bread..too little. ..the bread was way too thick so quite dry given the cesse portion was so small .The vegetable crisps were a pile of crumbs and the shredded Romain lettuce was pointless on its own..given the prices of the food this was unfortunately a disappointment.

Went for brunch with Step mum and sisters for 80th birthday planning, prices are sadly through the roof compared with other local farm shops and cafes, Value For Money we got was really poor. A bacon or sausage butty £7.49! If you wanted a fried egg including with it, that's a whopping extra £1.89. £9.38 for a mediocre bacon and egg butty) A Small breakfast with toast and a coffee came to £17.47!!! We're in Featherstone, Yorkshire not Knightsbridge.... Staff were lovely, food expensive in the takeaway area also, but this is the norm for farm shops. they charge £3.79 for small takeaway coffee.

Over the last few months i have been here 4 times. We had the afternoon tea on one occasion to celebrate a birthday. The afternoon tea wasn’t as good as last year. The scones were very dry, the sandwiches didn’t seem fresh as the bread was dry. The cakes we received were not as advertised. My Dad whose birthday we were celebrating didn’t enjoy the food and ate very little. I have been here before for coffee cake which is overpriced but nice. Fixed bag. I still don’t understand if you are meant to just go take a seat or wait to be seated. I thought you waited but others push past and just sit down. Its local to my family so easy meet up point but i live in Leeds and far better places about in...

First thing we noticed about this place is how overpriced it was eg £12.99 for a burger without chips, they cost an extra £3.99. We went for a birthday lunch so instead we all ordered an afternoon tea. The bread in the sandwiches was dry, hardly any butter to keep the sandwich together, thick slabs of dry meat with nothing to add flavour, there was a pile of lettuce with no dressing. Quiche was nice, cakes were mediocre, no Victoria sponge as written on the menu, macaroons were like cake instead of lite and delicate. Scone was dry. It does come with bottomless tea and coffee and the service was good. Sadly they completely messed the bill up and we were over charged by £30, they had taken pay...

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
