The food was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. For dinner, I dined in and found the price per person to be between £10 and £20. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Cod and Chips!

This is a charming place to stay with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The food was outstanding; I highly recommend the scampi and chips. The room was immaculate, and the pillows and duvet were of excellent quality. There’s a quirky entrance to the rooms either through the bar or down the side by the kitchen, but we actually found that quite delightful. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5.

Spent my birthday going for a walk around Maldon, a place I left over 20 years ago, but where I grew up as a child. Fish on the Quay used to be the Jolly Sailor in my youth, but has now been renamed. We had our dog with us, but he's nervous of other dogs, and the management kindly accommodated our request to be somewhere quiet out of the way of other customers. The food was awesome, from the crab, to the fish and chips. Thoroughly recommended.

The chef is brilliant here. My son has a restricted diet and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. I had the tempura squid which was melt in the mouth, everyone knows how difficult squid is to cook and this was top notch. The main course was a tuna steak salad, nicely cooked with an oriental twist to the salad. My companions were equally impressed they had the mussels which were so fresh they still smelled of the sea, and the pan fried sea bass I am told was absolutely delicious.
