The service at this restaurant was excellent, the atmosphere was amazing, the food was lovely, and the waitresses were fantastic. Everyone's attitude was incredible, and I would definitely recommend this place.

We booked here for the first time and was really pleased we did! The Sunday roast was delicious and I am very fussy about my Sunday roasts . We couldn't fault the service and it's a nice venue. Would highly recommend.

Impromptu mid afternoon visit to eat. Relatively quiet but we had good service, we selected the 5 tapas dishes for £30 and made our selection. Once arrived, the dishes were well presented and were generous in size. All tasted great and we didn’t leave anything. Certainly very good value , I would recommend. Ver carta

Service was very poor had to wait 1 hour for food. Continuing chasing Management not interested got a very low key sorry when we left. Fish was great but would advise NOT choosing a roast past 5pm as it clearly had been sitting on a hot plate causing the veg to be overcooked and potatoes like bullets. Will NOT be returning

I recently enjoyed a delicious lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the burger, while my friends had the prawn crayfish salad and the squid linguine. All the dishes were very tasty and the portions were generous. I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. In my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in and around Maldon.

We three thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday Lunch at this friendly restaurant. We all had the roast beef and I can honestly say it was one of the best 'roasts ' I have had. The vegetable were fresh, the roasties delicious and the roast beef was excellent. The puddings were also first class. The young staff were friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this small establishment. Reasonable prices too. Ver carta

We went there to meet family for a meal on Sunday early evening. The waitress was disinterested, we had to ask for a menu, there was no non alco beer, we had to chance the food several times, the two of us that had lamb sent it back as it was running with blood! The potato’s were rock hard. I can honestly say it was the worst roast dinner I have ever had. There was zero customer service, no care. nothing! Don’t go there!

I had an absolutely wonderful roast dinner at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and I even took some leftovers home for later. The ambience was great, and the service was excellent. Everyone working there was so welcoming. A big thank you to the owner for being so attentive and on top of everything. I will definitely be returning in the future. Overall, I would give this restaurant a perfect score of 10 out of 10.

We come to Maldon fairly regularly and occasionally stay over. The New Pavilion is was one of our favourite go to restaurants. We arrived at 7:30, as booked, and were very happy to see the front restaurant full except for our table for two. We ordered drinks at the bar and sat at our table. Maybe we should have been more aware of the situation when, after about 15 minutes, we had to tell the staff we were now ready to order. The young waitress was very apologetic and we said it was no problem, not her fault as she was doing two jobs waitressing and covering the bar as the barman had literally disappeared and was occasionally seen serving an old meal.
