"It's our third time in this small restaurant since we discovered it last year and have never been disappointed .As it was always summer we booked ahead and ate outside in the tiny square in front of the restaurant which also has a few tables in the room upstairs and right close to the counter . The menu is good quality for excellent price as for entree , main and dessert plus a good bottle of wine from the area you pay around 60 euros. We usually choose A la carte as the menu is quite copious .Excellent their ceviche served with grapefruit and small radishes and perfectly cooked the sea perch fillet with gnocchi ,beans and green all in a light pesto sauce .Extremely abundant .Very kind service as the lovely waitresses speaks English and Italian and is very attentive .You can have a bottle of fresh " water of the mayor " which is good and of course free of charge which is a great thing as often in the area they charge you up to 12 euros just for a bottle of Evian ..... Bonus !"

As always, very good service, very good food and excellent choice of wines under the olive tree. Make a reservation in advance.

Excellent restaurant - not to miss in Grimaud. Especially the menu "saveur" which is a good combination of the chef performance ...

Only markdown is the size and how busy it gets with just one server! Excellent food and drinks, but a tiny place that gets packed at lunchtime. Ver carta

We live pretty close to the River Cafe in London which has a Michelin rosette and eat there regularly. Having just been to Fleur de Sel I can say that the food there is outstanding and deserves a similar accolade.

Nested in the art of the old town of Grimaud, Fleur de sel features a few starters and à a few main courses + delicious dessert or cheese. When in the South of France why not eat local food? Owners are young, food is simply well prepared. Do not miss the carrot purée prepared with a special ingredient, will you guess what it is?

Another visit to France and another perfect place for lunch. After the mini-train trip to the village we found this gem of a restaurant quite hidden away. We were welcomed and given such a choice of options. As the sun drifted over the trees offering cool shade we enjoyed a three course lunch with each course beautifully presented as only in France. This restaurant would be proud in any city or t,own. Ver carta

I visited this restaurant last year and by chance happened upon it again. My friend (a chef) and I just ordered the set menu. Caesar Salad - which I had - was one of the best I've tasted. The dressing was superb - you could taste the garlic but it wasn't overpowering. My friend had the fish risotto which was creamy and full of flavours. Only negative is that there was a noisy family in the restaurant next door - screened off - but the prices obviously attract families - nothing wrong with that, however the level of cuisine and wines offered by Fleur du Sel would be even more palatable in another location in Grimaud. That said, fabulous food and wine offered by friendly staff.

When you read that the taste of the food will explode with flavour in your mouth. I have really never got it and been let down time and time again How ever what has to be one of the most magical meals I have ever had The food did explode with flavour at Fleur Du Sel and with each mouthful a new exciting flavour wound its way around your pallet. The setting is a dream and the restaurant itself simple and understated . With wonderful and attentive service, The level of cooking they really should be screaming from the roof. But instead with smiles they bring you food for the gods. Ceviche arrived that i am still smiling about , my cod with mashed carrots I honestly can not rave enough about. I...

"Popped up to this lovely restaurant this week. First things first, if you're going to come in the summer, it's indoors so expect it to be warm and expect to need to book. Also, bring cash. On to the main info. Didier who owns the restaurant is someone my family met when we stumbled on him at a restaurant 15 years ago. Over the years, we have never missed visiting him if we can. The man is worth visiting any restaurant for alone. He is such a character and so charming. Now with his piano in his restaurant, we love to hang around later on in the evening and play/sing a bit of impromtpu jazz too.The setting is cut into the rock and this is exposed in some of the back areas of the restaurant. The walls are beset with lots of colourful and interesting pieces of art that he has gradually accumulated. Expect to be sitting close to fellow guests and on odd chairs with odd patterned china but it's all part of the fun. The food: mum, the pescatarian, loved the aubergine starter and the fish on offer. The lasagne starter was to die for and the chicken so tasty! My bf thought the chorizo on his pizza was incredible. And the lamb gorgeous too. The pain Tchinch was soooo good and a dessert fiend's best friend. A bit like a Belgian waffle. The moelleux au chocolat is always decadent. The food portions are substantial and for the 31 euros for a three course menu (which does not restrict your choices), a bargain! I didn't indulge much this week in wine but I did try Didier's and it was lovely. The upstairs: part of the roof is missing upstairs in the chill out area and it's lovely and cool. Wonderful for relaxing on the sofas/chairs for a complimentary shot of limoncello at the end of the evening.Verdict: this is a lovely hidden gem set in an ancient village with more character than you can find elsewhere in the Côte d'Azur."
