"The food is good especially considering the modest pricing. The service however is indefensible. There is no greeting, no goodbye and everything in between is worse. Patrons are being rudely and loudly ‘educated’ on their food allergies, repeatedly wrong orders were served and no hospitality...displayed whatsoever. The staff truly has neither joy nor aptitude in hosting and I have rarely felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. This was echoed by the customers around the table and I’ll definitely tell friends to stay away. It’s the kind of attitude that one experienced in ‘hipster’ locations around the world years ago when poorly trained staff thought they were main event. The only funny part was when the bad server constantly mispronounced Veltliner and felt very fancy about it. But at least he talked at all, the girl didn’t even bother to engage. She was short of throwing the plate on the table. She also forgot about customers, I really wonder how much revenue she missed through her inattentiveness. Very sad for the region as this could have been something. We truly were excited to come here, what a letdown."

This place offers itself to people who are looking for down-to-earth and sincere plates, frank and forthright service. Beyond the rusticity, you'll enjoy first-class slow food. An...amazing match.

Just great overall, if a little meat-heavy menu. Walks in the nearby forest are great, especially if you have a dog to share them with (my rescue greyhound was nervous at first about all the new sounds and animals but loved his second day). Very special place with character and opinion. The rooms are comparatively simple, but the more beautifully furnished. The food was very good regional, fresh, seasonal during both visits. Here too is a very own style that consistently and honestly draws through all courses or breakfast. The style is perhaps not the right thing for everyone, but we really like it and we will definitely go back.

Das Essen und alles drum herum ist ein echtes Erlebnis! Ingesamt mega lecker und vor allem mal etwas ganz anderes als das was man so kennt. Alles war liebevoll zubereitet und das fast nur mit Zutaten vom eigenen Hof! Sowas gibt es heutzutage so gut wie gar nicht mehr. Allein wegen der besonderen und nachhaltigen Philosophie des Kochs sollte man mal hier hin. Die Gerichte sind zwar teilweise sehr speziell und nichts für nimmersatte Vielfraße, aber man muss sich eben mal einfach auf diese Art des Essens einlassen und dem Koch vertrauen. Unser Vertrauen wurde auf jeden Fall belohnt und wir hatten hier zwei wunderbare Abende mit einer Gruppe von Freunden bei außergewöhnlichen und leckeren Speise...
