"This is a restaurant near the old university. I was looking for a place for lunch after visiting the Residenz and found this place. It was a great find, tucked away at some corner of the street. They serve Franconian food. Waitress was friendly and...efficient. Oh! And they have free wifi! I had the Franconian Wedding Dinner (It's a dish of beef and pasta) and it was delicious! The waitress recommended a white wine called Bacchus, from Würzburg, and I fell in love with it. It is for people who like their wine a little sweeter. Overall, I had a perfect gastronomical experience!"

This restaurant had very tasty and good food! Big servings, but it took minuttes to make it. The staff was nice. The tableclotes was a little bit dirty.

Super friendly and very friendly service (especially Sabine). Makes a real pleasure to eat there. Foods are Franconian and very freshly prepared. Here you feel inside and out. Time and again in Würzburg

Very recommended, delicious food, a little off, but therefore also quieter. We were sitting outside. We were there twice a day for dinner. Very friendly and attentive service that has fun at her work. Always happy.

We had a nice meal here. My german isn't great and we struggled to translate the menu so ended up going with what we understood. However it was a nice meal. The service was good and it was nice to eat outside in a quiet...area. Not too expensive either! Ver carta

Food was mega! Definitely freshly prepared. Tasteful and visual Top Mega friendly service. Centrally located, but not on the tourist mile between residence and age main bridge. I can especially recommend the saucer with sour wort and clot or the butter soaking table lace.

We were again guests of the hotel and also this time you don't read it to eat in the restaurant, all top, very friendly service (Chefin) the food is a palate mouse, (Schatzi), the cook even prepares 5 min before chef a dessert. In this inn, the guest is still the king. We're coming back

Most restaurants in the centre of Wurzburg close on Sunday evening so it was a nice surprise to find Franziskaner open. We sat outside, looking across the square to the church. The waitress was friendly and gave us menus in English. The food was a...variation on the standard Bavarian fare, and our dishes were all cooked well. I'd be happy to return. Ver carta

There are vegan dishes on the map in the Franciscan and a vegan menu after the season with appetizer, main dish and dessert. My girls gave me that for my birthday. I didn't know that and was surprised how good and tasty that was. I was there several times and was always very satisfied with my vegan options. Well, if you want to eat with family as a vegan, the good Franconian home cooking.

I went here with my parents, because it is not far from where I live and we wanted to try Franconian cuisine. It was a great find, even though I didn’t completely love the interior design of the restaurant.. the food was really good! We...had the „Schäufele“ (it’s like pork knuckle, except that this is a part of the pork shoulder, but it also comes with a crispy skin), „Münchener Schnitzel“ and „Schweinefilet in Champignonrahm“. All dishes are absolutely to be recommended! My favorite was the Schäufele and the Schweinefilet. Service was fine as well.
