Had a lovely meal, very relaxed atmosphere and the team were friendly. The food was lovely and well presented. Would visit again when in Edinburgh.

Nice place and good service the savoury dishes were very fine for a decent price. Desert not so much, maybe the patisserie chef was away on that day!

Lunch for my daughter's birthday was excellent. My pheasant was delicious, as was my daughter's lobster macaroni. Staff were friendly and helpful. And made special by a chocolate birthday message with petit fours.

In the middle of the festival we avoid dining out but on this occasion we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is well situated for the Usher Concert Hall and on the evening in question was very busy. Despite this the staff coped well. Menu was varied and interesting.The food promptly served, well presented and very tasty. Would definitely return.

We have dined her a number of times and enjoyed both the food and service usually in the past, our experience recently was not as usual and when we mentioned this to the management both of the restaurant and the duty general manager at the hotel front desk, neither seemed bothered and offered to do nothing about the poor service we had on this occasion.

As a French living abroad, i could not expect better than this experience. Indeed, starting with a lovely drink at the bar of the hotel, we then order our starters and main courses. I could not say enough regarding the Fois Gras made with rabbit which was absolutely fabulous. But the best was the main course, the Boeuf Bouguignon and its mousseline, reminding me when I was a kid and when my grand ma' was cooking for me. Merci Chef !!! #Champions

We went here as a Christmas gift from family and had the seasonal menu, three courses with two options per course. Luckily there was options we both enjoyed but it would be difficult to have this menu if you were a picky eater or vegetarian. The goats cheese salad was lovely, my partner also really enjoyed his Pot Au Feu. Mains were on the small size but with three courses that was ok. I had the rainbow trout and my partner the pork belly, both were nice. Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert was also good, but nothing special.

We booked our Christmas dinner for 5 people early December. We had to pay 50% deposit there and then and were told we would receive confirmation by phone that evening. We never received it. We went back there in person 4 times to find out what was happening and get a receipt for our money. Every time we were assured we would hear from them that same evening. Nothing! We went a 5th time and asked for the manageress who was going to look into it and contact us. We are still waiting.... That said, we asked for our money back which we got rapidly but we are puzzled how a 5* Brasserie can behave in such a poor manner!

We had a voucher for Chateaubriand and a bottle of wine so we didn't really check out the menu when we visited this restaurant. What we were served however was of excellent quality and tasted delicious. Our only disappointment was that the steak was not served sliced on a platter as we have always experienced before. Instead it was served on our individual plates. Not a huge issue but it is a bit more special when served on the platter. The accompanying fries, mushroom and grilled tomato were perfect as was the bottle of wine. The service in the restaurant is very professional and all the staff were friendly.
