"This place was acommodating for our group of people, they said the kitchen closes at 8 pm but they still served us food around 8:30 pm. After we ate we discovered that we were charged $17 euro per plate with schnitzel and frech fries on the side. (one bowl of french fries for 2 people). We found it to be quite expensive compared to what we paid for a similar plate anywhere in Austria. They also charged 1.75 euro for a small glass of milk for one kid, and 4.40 euros for a bottle of 700 ml of water.Room was 130 euros plus 6 euros taxes. Other cons:The shower door would not close completely.While in the room, another guest of the hotel used her key to open our door and then she said something in german, it looked like she opened the wrong door. Not sure now if all the rooms have different lockers and how was this possible. She was definitely not the cleaning lady. We were in a hurry to leave so I did not ask further questions.Breakfast was not great, mostly processed food. Few scrambled eggs left, not enough for a person. No vegetables at all. Good pastries. The lady in the breakfast room was helpful but she was in a hurry to clean the room, and she did so before we finished eating. We were not late at breakfast, there was still some time before the end of it. My son wanted to eat some Nutella at the end of his meal, but the table was empty by the time he was done, and he was dissapointed.Room was clean, people were nice but I would not stay here again."

"Trotz der mittelmäßigen Bewertungen auf Tripadvisor haben wir das Restaurant besucht. Sehr nettes Personal und Essen sowie Getränke waren sehr schnell da. Wir hatten zwei Pizzen mit dünnem und leckeren Boden. Die Kinderspaghetti für unseren Sohn waren ebenso lecker wie die Pizzen. Da die Pizzen etwas mehr Auflage vertragen könnten ziehe ich einen Punkt ab. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert, was man auch an der Vielzahl einheimischer Gäste sah."

"Die Speisen waren durchweg schmackhaft und appetitlich angerichtet. Über das Preis-/Leistungsniveau kann man immer streiten...aber lieber etwas mehr Geld ausgeben und anschliessend zufrieden sein, als billig und verärgert. Wir waren jedenfalls zufrieden, trotz der hohen Preise. Positiv anmerken möchte ich den perfekten Umgang mit Wein. Zwar war der von uns ausgesuchte Rotwein nicht mehr verfügbar, stattdessen erhielten wir vom Inhaber einen 'Alternativ-Tipp ', der -obwohl teurer- zum Preis des nicht mehr vorhandenen Wein kredenzt wurde. Zudem wurde der Wein am Tisch fachmännisch entkorkt und aufgrund der hohen Außentemperaturen leicht gekühlt. Insgesamt sehr professionell."

"On my Day Trip to Linderhof Palace (Germany) I decided to take a short excursion into Austria, as it 's only a few Kilometers away from the Border (without Border Checkpoints thanks to the Schengen Agreements), around noon. So, I was looking for a place to eat here on TA, and the Forelle is the one that tickled my fancy. I arrived at this place which overlooks the Plansee. And besides being a Restaurant, is also a Cafè and Hotel. There is a large Parking lot which was almost filled to capacity, it has a cost but that cost is waived for Customers of the Restaurant Cafè who get a token to put in the machine from their Waiter. I chose to be seated on the large outdoor Terrace overlooking the Lake. The tables did have umbrellas to shield them from the Sun, though I didn 't take into account the current position of the Sun and was seated mostly on the sunny side for most of the time. The Meal First I ordered an Almdudler (Herbal Soda typical of Austria) since I felt that 's something fitting. Then I perused the Menu which had quite a few choices that I would 've loved to try. But, in a place called Forelle (Trout) what 's better than trying the Trout? So I ordered a Forelle Müllerin (a la Meunière), which incidentally happened to be my first experience with this Dish. Though I 've seen it on many Menus throughout Germany and Austria, I 've never had the courage to order it. Having been somewhat traumatized against whole Fish in my childhood by my Grandfather constantly shouting: watch out for the bones! Don 't choke! . Still, I 'm trying to get over certain things, and trying a Dish which I could 've had a thousand times but didn 't was a good step to take. The Fish arrived after a short wait, accompanied by Parsley Potatoes and a small Side Salad. Not having any previous experience, I would still say that the Fish (which had a piece of Herbal Butter on it that was melting slowly) was cooked to perfection. Yes, some bones needed to be picked out, but all in all it was a great Dish and I enjoyed it. My Almdudler being finished by now, I opted to order a Sparkling Water or Minerale as the Waiter called it. I opted to also go for Dessert, even though I was already feeling full, but there 's always room for Dessert, isn 't there? A Palatschinke (Austrian Crêpe-like pancake) with Vanilla Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce. Once again, by the time I thought to take a picture of it, I had finished it. I paid somewhere in the region of €25 for a Main, Dessert and 2 Non-Alcoholic Drinks, which I found more than fair for the quality of Food, the friendly Service and the awesome Alpine Panoramas of the Lake and the Mountains surrounding it. It 's also close to a Dock for the Boat which takes you around the Lake. The Service was very efficient and friendly, and not once did I feel rushed, even though it was a busy day and I was occupying a table by myself. I would be happy to come here again if I 'm in that Area, and try some of the other things they have on the Menu."
