"Delightful spot I always have delicious food and a very relaxing eating experience here. I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while I don’t eat here often but every time I dine here I realise what a little gem it is. They are delivering in spades what other enterprises attempt to do but often fail to realise. The food is always very tasty and nicely put together with an interesting and varied menu and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. My friend chose the lasagne but only wanted a small portion so they very kindly split it over two plates which they then also did for desert as we both were very tempted but couldn’t manage a full desert each at lunchtime. Very thoughtful, very flexible and much appreciated. Thank you so much and I’ll hope to come back here much more often!"

"As for the rooms, ours was delightful with a really comfortable bed. The drink selection, especially the cider and real ale, was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a wonderful variety of cooked options. One morning, I had the Smoked Salmon with scrambled eggs, and the next day I enjoyed poached haddock with poached eggs. My husband tried the full English breakfast and loved it. Although we didn't dine in for dinner since we were out in the evening, we did have some sandwiches which were very nice. The food was really lovely, made even better by the friendly staff. All in all, we had a wonderful stay!"

"The location of the restaurant was great and the room was nice, but we were extremely disappointed with our 2-night stay. We arrived at 3:00 as advertised, but received a voicemail saying the restaurant was closed from 3:00 to 5:00. When we arrived at 3:10, no one was around to check us in and there were no keys in the drop box. We went elsewhere for dinner and drinks and returned after 5:00, still unable to reach anyone. Finally, we got into our room around 6:00. Despite booking a room with a roll-top bath, we did not get what we wanted and the electric in our room kept going off. Breakfast was not an option as no one was ever around in the morning and the pub was only open for 2 hours the night we arrived. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning to this establishment in the Cotswolds."

"We only tend to visit the Weighbridge once every so often, but that's only because we live about an hour away. We visited last Saturday and as per all our other visits, it was well worth the journey! The starters were great, the puddings...were superb but the undoubted stars of the show were of course the in pies. The pastry is very short and just falls apart in the mouth. The fillings are fantastic and (if you have the full size pie) you most certainly won't be left hungry. We were served by a few different team members who were all very friendly and attentive and we were not kept waiting. If I had to criticize something it would be that there wasn't a traditional bitter ale around I had Bath Ales Prophecy which I chose because I was driving but to me it was a bit too citrus-ey. Personally I would prefer a more traditional ale like Butcombe Bitter or Wadworth That's just my taste though and it didn't detract from our experience at all. I would definitely recommend the Weighbridge. We are already looking forward to our next visit."

"My second visit was for dinner, and the food was outstanding. The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all delicious, and we paired them with a variety of beers. On both occasions, we sat outside in the lovely covered area, which was great in the evening thanks to the heating. However, the only downside was the service. It felt inconsistent; on one visit, there seemed to be a lack of attention, while on the other, there was an overload of staff checking on us. In fact, within five minutes after sitting down, we had three different employees asking if we were ready to order, and then we were left waiting for about 15 minutes without anyone attending to us. Perhaps having clearly defined sections for the staff could help. Additionally, while we enjoyed sitting outside, the bar area with the roller shutters raised felt a bit awkward as it seemed to indicate they were closing down. It might be better if they could kindly ask patrons to wrap up by a certain time, such as 10 PM. Overall, we had a lovely evening, and the food and beer were excellent!"
