Glarnerhof - Carta

we had a quick lunch there in the march to save time we ordered only a salad and a risotto, to my surprise the risotto was made like Chinese porridge! and also really tasted like Porridge!

Sehr gutes, sauberes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind nicht top Modern, es hat aber alles was es braucht. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Auf der Karte hat es für jeden etwas. Gutes Essen zu normalen Preisen.

The best hotel in Glarus. Very friendly hotel management, very friendly staff. Good food and nice terrace restaurant. Large, simple and clean rooms. Nicely located between the park and the train station.

Das Hote Glarnerhof ist einfach bei allem Spitze, sei es die wunderbare abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte, das schöne Restaurant, der schöne Sall oder auch die gemütlich Gartenterasse.....und die Chefin....können sie in der ganzen Schweiz ....suchen so nett ist die.

Ich muss zugeben: Ich war mit einer Gesellschaft dort - vielleicht liegt also der Fehler dort. Doch es war ein Stich ins Herz: Da kommen Menschen aus der ganzen Schweiz nach Glarus und auf dem Menüplan steht nix mit Ziger. Natürlich war die Pouletbrust okay wie der Salat vorweg, aber eben... Im Hotel/Restaurant Glarnerhof stimmt die Qualität und man merkt das die Mitarbeiter gut geschult und Freude an ihrer Arbeit haben. Die Küche ist gut und die Grösse der Karte stimmt - nicht zu klein aber auch nicht zu gross, auch mit vielen saisonalen Spezialitäten. Die Inneneinrichtung ist vielleicht etwas zu trocken und emotionslos.Aber die Atmosphäre ist gut.

Wie waren schon Sonntag zum Mittag dort ! In der Gaststube. Köstliches asiatisches Essen und sehr guter Wein ! Eine fürsorgliche Chefin- springt immer gerne ein und kümmert sich. Am Freitag haben wir dann im Le Gourmet reserviert und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Sehr guter Service- gepaart mit erstklassigen Speisen ! Das Ambiente war am frühen Abend sehr angenehm ! Fazit : wir kommen wieder bis dahin , Vielen Dank !!!

My lunch started badly: I had the impression that the waiters walk around without noticeing my table. But my fears were definitely unfounded. The renter gave me the menu five minutes later apologised for the waiting period and explained that this was due to the lunch break. The waitress apologized. Beautiful explanations are always appreciated! During the meal the waiters were efficient and smiling. The food was classic without surprise. As a starter the tomato soup was good and well seasoned. As the main course, the veal ice cream was perfectly grilled and served with a mixed salad. For Dessert, I chose the homemade cream caramel that was simple and good.
