"The most amazing views from this cafe! Brilliantly cosy cafe which has lovely views of the gorge river and surrounding hills. We loved it so much we went twice in three days. The menu features classic lunch dishes such as toasties, sandwiches and baked potatoes lots of choices for fillings for all of these (meat, veggie and vegan). We had beans and cheese baked potato and tuna cheese toastie and many pots of tea after a walk around the area. Staff were bright and helpful. Delicious range of cakes do not leave without sampling at least one! We went back for breakfast lovely breakfast rolls! The attached outdoors shop is also worth a look too."

"I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complete vegan breakfast at this restaurant. The meal included hash browns, beans, roasted vegetables, tomato, toast, and a delicious oat latte. However, the service was a major letdown. We were given dirty utensils, I had to request vegan spread three times before receiving it, and I was initially not served the vegan haggis. There were no apologies, just a statement that it would be cooked now. Despite being a charming coffee shop, the service on this particular visit was disappointing. "Experienced pub inside The Fife Arms, the recently a lot of great veggie and vegan options to their menu, including a marinated Courgette dish, new season broth, and a fantastic Veggie burger. Disclaimer that a taxidermy flying deer over pub and a few taxidermy birds are within their snail section. The only seats that would be out of sight would be outside!"

"before place it was okay. we had fish choppers, sampi, chicken bugs, and we made ourselves better everywhere, but everything in all was ok. price, taste, quantity etc. was sufficient but nothing to rave over. the premise themselves were quite basic and lacked in modernization in the last decades, but it is a village finally."

"We ate one dinner and three breakfasts, and it needs to get better.I disliked my 3 course dinner.Good bread and butter though. My cold Cod starter is ceviche style which is basiclaly a raw dish which I hated and should have been better described on the menu or by the staff. My Lamb was over cooked perhaps due to the kitchen birch wood stoves? My dessert of smashed meringue was just a dull mess.The glasses of wine we chose were not good value.Breakfast is OK without many star turns or looks.The full cooked breakfast is pleasant, see my photo. Partial serve yourself with the cold items. Porridge was rather fine, but one order for it was not put through until we we reminded staff and by that time we had a reasonable Kedgeree filling the small table.The baked items were not up to the highland quality I expected, nor were the jug juices.Black pudding rather fine. Perhaps it comes from the butcher across the road who has excellent pies.)To be frank we preferred the small menu and prices in the public bar.Clearly early days in Clunie kitchen, which looks very smart with wood fires seen from the restaurant.Final advice, avoid the table under the full size stag, not a good view point!"
