"We were staying in Kinloch Rannoch for 3 nights (me, Himself, a friend and our two [rescue] Staffies and had decided to visit Glen Lyon for a day out, visiting the Tea Room at some point for refreshments. In advance, I had messaged to check opening times and whether the place was dog friendly (it is, inside and outside! and received a quick, friendly response which boded well. We arrived in time for a late lunch and two of us opted for toasted ham cheese paninis which came with salad and crisps, and coffee. Our friend had hot chocolate and cake. We chose to sit inside and although it was past 'breakfast ' time, the staff cooked sausages for our dogs, which they enjoyed enormously. The food was lovely, plenty of it, and filling. (In fact, the dog had the last little bits of mine as I was too full to finish it! A superb cafe in a lovely location, ideal for tourists, whether car-borne like us, or walking or cycling. Definitely rcommended and if we are coming that way again, we will visit again! Oh, and I also bought a delicious home-made loaf of bread to take back with us. Thank you."

This is a must for our visits to Kenmore, the trip to and from is beautiful, and upon arrival the choice of food and cakes makes choice difficult. This time, the fruit scone, and oat and sultana biscuit, washed down with coffee, was as good as I remember. Ver carta

My husband and I met local friends for a coffee at the rustic Bridge of Balgie, Glen Lyon tea room. It was fantastic! Delicious coffee and the millionaires shortbread was a real treat. We couldn't stay for lunch but our friends said their soup and sandwiches were fresh and delicious too. Looking forward to our next visit to the Glen already!

I'm sorry, but that last reviewer shouldn't be let out, has no idea what he is talking about. We have lifted in Killin for over a year and heard good things about the tea rooms, but never got around to going. Finally managed to get there with some friends today and thoroughly lived up to expectations. Previous review complained about the soup and panini he got for £9.95, for me it was a little too much. However, both soup and panini were delicious, in fact everything we had was delicious and also picked up a lovely fresh loaf of bread. Friendly staff and a great location . Definitely worth a visit and I'm sure we'll be back.

"We visited to see the Beatrix Potter Exhibition with family who were visiting and spent a lovely hour going around the exhibition, however our nice time was rudely interrupted by the elderly lady working in the cafe with dyed black curly hair. We have one child with serious allergies, so instead of one child feeling left out and risking cross exposure, we packed safe snacks for all the kids going anywhere with allergies is an absolute nightmare, so we always do this. Most places are trained and appreciative of how hard it is to eat out with allergens and happy to make reasonable adjustments for this. All four adults ate from the cafe. When part of our order was delivered, we were told “this isn’t a picnic area, you can’t eat your own food, you wouldn’t take food in to McDonald’s” (whilst looking at the 2 year old eating her snacks) when I responded yes I actually would, we have a child with allergies, she asked if it was serious allergies to which I said yes and she scoffed and left, no apology, nothing. I must add that whether the children would be eating or not, they would still have to sit at the table and take up the same amount of space. Would the children also be prevented from sitting because they didn’t buy from the cafe? Still waiting on my food order twenty minutes later and having already finished my coffee and frustrated at the wait, I asked for a refund as we now felt hurried to leave because of how upset she was at the children eating snacks at the table without purchasing them in their cafe. I got the refund for my missing meal and we left without going to the shop or seeing the other art, it has left a bad taste in my mouth. We spent just shy of £100 in the place and to be spoken to like that was horrible. The elderly employee with dyed black hair really needs some training on customer service and manners. The way she looked at us as we left was awful, we will not be returning. This place is not welcoming of children or those with allergies I dread to think how they would react to someone who is tube fed, probably told to eat outside just avoid."
