"We are fortunate to have Rations located less than half a mile from our home. Despite the name conjuring up thoughts of shortages from the World War II era, Rations in Thornton is far from that. The standout item at breakfast is the Rations breakfast box, which includes two sausages, two strips of bacon, two eggs, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, and two slices of toast. The portion is generous and absolutely delicious. There are also various options for barmcakes and batons to choose from. At lunchtime (or any time of day), the sandwiches are made with either barmcakes or batons and are filled to the brim. From cold meats, fish, and prawns to hot beef with onions and turkey with stuffing, there is a sandwich for everyone's taste. Additionally, they offer panini as well. The experience is complete with crisps, soda, and delightful homemade cakes. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to stop by Rations on Fleetwood Road. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Absolutely fantastic - 6 stars!"

"My first cafe experience in Fleetwood. The staff were lovely, and the cappuccino was delightful. Didn't stay for food, but what I saw being served to the other patrons looked absolutely delicious! The service was excellent and we weren't rushed to leave, despite only ordering brews. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The food was good and the venue is nice. However, we returned three weeks later for another meal. I ordered the chicken in peppercorn sauce, which had a good sauce but the chicken was overcooked. My dining companion chose the cheese and onion pie, but it was disappointing—there was little to no cheese flavor, and the filling tasted more like a poorly made béchamel sauce. I opted for the fish and chips, expecting fresh fish since I'm near Fleetwood, where it's popular. Unfortunately, the fish served was two identical pieces, indicative of frozen portions. The first time we visited, the meal was excellent, which is why we came back, but this time was a letdown. I’m not sure what has changed, but I won’t be returning."

"Our family have been going to this little family -run- gem for over 30yrs, when my parents were alive. We come over from Morecambe as often as we can. The quality never varies, always excellent VGVM. If I said the tender roast beef was the best in the North West, I would be doing them a dis-service. It is wonderful, you do not need a knife it is so tender, and always a very generous portion. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the place is immaculate spotlessly clean. "I recently visited Knott End with a friend and we popped into a café for a meal. The café was clean, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was freshly cooked to order and delicious. I ordered a hot baguette with roast beef and onion gravy, which had generous portions and was very enjoyable. My friend had the fish and chips, which she also enjoyed. The prices were fair for the quality of food we received. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Outside the café, there is a lovely statue dedicated to L.S. Lowery, and there is also a ferry that goes to Fleetwood at a reasonable price. Next time we visit, we will be sure to try the ferry as well."
