Gray's At Burnham Beeches

This place has 'fine dining ' pretensions but the food is very poor. The staff are pleasant and engaging but lack any organisation or any evident management.

Delicious food, amazing place, very good value. I was surprised that we only shared the dining room with 3 other couples on Valentines which was great. The special set menu was also very well chosen.

We made a spur-of-the-moment decision to treat ourselves, and we were extremely pleased with the service, particularly the Chocolate Brownies made by Pastry Chef Sarah. I can't say to much on this hotel and their staff has its been one of the only hotels were I've been treated with absolute attention from checking in to checking out. What a place beautifully clean and welcoming bedrooms ; restaurant served outstanding food, staff so attentive to detail, it's a place i would definitely visit again

We were staying at Burnham Beeches Hotel for two days, and we went to Gray's for a dinner. What a lovely experience ! Great food , from starters to desserts and wines , everything was delicious and well presented. They have quite interesting dishes on a menu, so everyone will be able to choose something they like. Not cheap, but not a bad value for what you are getting! Well worth visiting!

This was the second year of having a Christmas day lunch at the Burnham Beeches hotel. I have to say I was pleasantly pleased with the lunch, and thought the hotel had improved from the previous year . The staff were very attentive. The lunch was good with the normal roast turkey. My brother really raved re his fish. The ambiance was good and they had added small little touches like a small table gift for each guest. thank you for making it an enjoyable affaire. Ver carta

AVOID!!! My family and I had a terrible experience at Burnham Beeches for afternoon tea on Father's Day. We were initially told there was a booking for four people with Champagne Afternoon Tea, but upon arrival, we were informed it was only for two people. The staff, particularly Nico, were unapologetic and made us feel uncomfortable. Nico was rude and dismissive when we asked about dietary restrictions, even rolling his eyes. When I tried to explain the situation to him, he ignored me and made inappropriate gestures towards me. The duty manager was no help either, dismissing my complaints and making me feel worse. A friend and I were at Gray's Restaurant for afternoon tea today, along with my 7 month old daughter. From start to finish, the staff were so attentive and accommodating. There was already a table and high chair set up when we arrived. We were able to look over the menu and make changes for any dietary requirements we had; I have a fish allergy, so substituted the smoked salmon sandwich-the waiter came back with at least 5 other sandwich alternatives! The food was beautifully presented, with a large selection of hot drinks as well. My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was flawless, with a reduced ala carte menu available through OpenTable for £30 each, offering great value for money. The menu had a variety of options to choose from, and I decided on the duck and chicken liver parfait for starters and the sea bream for my main course, both of which were delicious. The highlight of the meal was definitely the coconut Pana Cotta dessert - it was so good that I could have easily had another portion.
