The steaks were amazing the only negative I had was there was only three white wines by the glass and the three on offer weren’t great. Overall though the venue was very nice and friendly.

Excellent tasting menu and wine pairing personally I would have like a little more of an explanation of why that wine went with the food but still a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I would go again and reccomend to friends

Great welcome from the hotel staff efficiently shown to our table but having ordered a champagne it took 20 minutes to tell us they had none. Chose a different one. Ordered matching wines with tasting first course delivered wine had to be requested. Senior person then took over which made things better. Ver carta

We were welcomed happy to wait in Peacock Alley ……..we were early Greeted by name happy to be back The treacle bread arrived warm ….it is delicious We had fish chips ……posh ………it arrived pipping hot and with airy light tartare sauce Empty plates ……… A coffee before we headed for our concert Friendly ,young staff Thank you a great start to a lovely evening

there is a reason why no local foods go here. the waitress took our drink order and then finished her layer and went without someone (and without bringing our drink). The starter was very disappointing cheap roasted brot with a tiny piece of crumb and too much mandel cream on it (ephasis on the cream); the main course (beef wellington) was nice and well cooked.

all good to three evil youngs were placed on the next table. Why are our transatlantic cousins so fucking rude and loud? we were not the only ones that are disturbed . . fast in another quiet table for which the personal must be praised. however, food excellent if perhaps a little medium on portion size. will we have been going back? probably for lunch before the pubs open . . . . Food distinctly average and a little overpriced. Service poor with bread coming after starter, and accompanied by awful duck fat butter. Trying to get a complaint dealt with was very difficult despite advising staff (3 times) that we were in a hurry to leave (due to an emergency situation that had developed whilst we were dining I acknowledge that this impacted on our enjoyment of the food).

marco was an excellent maître d', very attentive and welcoming. the room is beautiful, although the tables could go a bit further apart. the green makes a nice task to absorb sound and we were most details of the very long phone call of the businessman next to us at dinner. eating was really nice, beautifully presented and at the end we were very full. there was a quite great waiting time between the dressed in the middle, which meant that I had sat too much of the amazing brot and we were there almost three hours, but I guess the restaurant did not push us into a bigger party, it would probably have been good. overall nice eating, good ambiente and very attentive, hospitable staff.

we went in escorted by one of there staff only to be escorted out to stand outside for 4 minutes till they opened, ordered pint lager and class of prosecco, then order our meal both of us had steak 0ne rare one medium, I asked if the steaks came with veg my said they did and the waitress said nothing I ordered chips anyway, I ordered a glass of red to have with the meal. after about 15 minutes I asked the waitress where our drinks were and she went away and came back with the glass of red which I said I wanted with the meal, she then went away and came back with my lager, we asked where the prosecco which she then went and got.
