Excellent coffee which was lovely and strong. The Portuguese custard tart very yummy indeed. Could have eaten many things from the counter. Very knowledgeable staff too.

Scarborough would benefit from more places like Greensmith. A friendly welcome in a clean, uncrowded and relaxed environment. Service efficient and professional. Coffee exceptional (Cappuccino). Food (Avocado on Sourdough with Bacon), good portion, fresh and well presented. Keep up the good work guys. Ver carta

Lovely cup of coffee.... Dreadful porridge, not cooked, just partly cooked oats in the bottom of a bowl of hot milk. Limp lack lustre salad garnish...the usual bag of mixed, slightly over their best, leaves with cherry tomato halves and cucumber. Great for brownie and coffee but I wouldn't go again for food

In Scarborough for the day and were looking for a place to eat lunch, that was away from the sea front. We came across this place by accident (next to M&S) and were surprised. Lovely little cafe, good menu choices and hot drinks. Staff friendly and food was tasty. I’d recommend this place if I return to Scarborough.

Absolutely first class here. We have started going at least 2 3 times a month (we don’t live locally). We have had different things from the menu this time we had the chicken and pesto sandwich on ciabatta which was one of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had. I have been regularly coming to Greensmith coffee shop since I came home to Scarborough four years ago. I return here time and time again because the coffee is consistently of a high quality, always served promptly even when busy, the cakes and scones are incredible and the cafe itself is just beautiful and always bustling. I would direct anyone here -it is certain that the coffee is always fantastic. A little gem of a coffee shop that needs to be visited.

Tonnes of options for coffee in Scarborough but don’t even bother going anywhere else. These guys are where it’s at. Great vibe. Really warm and friendly staff. Dog friendly. Locally produced coffee. Not much you can ask for to be honest. We didn’t eat but i had food envy for my whole visit looking at other tables. Shout out to the friendly fella didn’t get his name but has wicked sleeve tattoo) who worked there that took the time to ask where we were from and give our dog a few treats. Such a small simple touch but not being from the local area made us feel right at home and welcome. Other cafes/bars could definitely learn a thing or two from this place. I first discovered Greensmith's, not long after they opened, on a bitterly cold early Spring day. Their attractive frontage caught my eye, but the interior is just as pleasant. The service is always friendly, the Northwoods coffee good, and they do some excellent cakes, some of which are vegan. The food menu is fairly short, but I have had some nice soups here. However, I was unimpressed with the mushroom on toast I had on my most recent visit. There was no mention of rocket being part of this dish, and while I am in no way averse to rocket, the dish arrived, completely covered in the stuff.
