"first of all, the yellow house impresses with its beautiful outside area with views of the eltviller castle and the surrounding weinberge. the service staff is extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. also children are welcome and get a pretty jewellery at the end. the ambiente is very good. Unfortunately, eating has left more and more in the past few years, so that we decided this year not to go there anymore. already last summer, it is clear that the quality of meat became worse, the dishes smaller....not what you can remember after a few weeks in the sense of: that was particularly delicious, as we go again. the worst came in winter 2016: an absolutely and completely inviolable escape. the meat is already slightly gummed and so queer and bone-hard that I had to leave it after a bite. the pieces of meat of the known were equally inedible. Conclusion: in summer quite ok, in winter you best leave the fingers of it (deficient)"

"Aufgrund der vielen guten Bewertungen sind wir hierhergekommen, Zugegeben, landschaftlich ist es schön gelegen, leider hat man die Landschaft gleich wieder mit ordentlich Maschendrahtzaun "gezähmt", so fühlt man sich ein bisschen wie im Aussengelände eines Gefängnisses. Man möchte wohl nicht dass die Gäste vom Weg "abkommen". Dann gleich der Oberklopper: Eiswürfelreste im Wein! Wohl der Kühlschrank kaputt? Die Speisen, sehr wortreich beschrieben, entpuppten sich als gutbürgerliche Hausmannskost. Ob die "Vogelsberger Frikadellchen" wirklich vom Vogelsberger Weiderind stammten, war an dieser Stelle nicht nachzuschmecken.Der Service, zahlreich vorhanden, wirkte desorganisiert und chaotisch. Sehr störend empfanden wir das permanente Tische und Stühle rücken und von A nach B tragen ohne erkennbaren Sinn. Neben unserem Tisch befand sich der Lagerschrank für die Sitzkissen, da man sich während underes Aufenthaltes zehnmal umentschied ob man die Sitzkissen rein-oder rausräumt, nervte das irgendwann gewaltig.Fazit: Preis/Leistung stimmt hier nicht, Wein und Speisen sind für das gebotene klar überteuert. Da trinkt und ist man woanders besser."

"the weinpump is a typical Rheingauer weinlocal from the device. But it seems to me that there is much more effort in terms of maintenance, decoration and cleanliness than in competition. at least, therefore, in the weinpump, a feeling of well-being and almost a feeling of holiday occurred that so far did not arise in the other localities known to me. this was certainly also the sympathetic, fleeting service. and: the menu is in a positive sense manageable, it is offered more ground-based dishes, but with that something is brought to the table. beautifully dressed, fresh and very tasty. we have fed up and felt very well so we will soon return to the weinpump."

"We were there with friends... I have to say that I haven't eaten that well in a long time. I had a schnitzel with gorgonzola and pears, it tasted very delicious... To finish, a delicious Styrian ice cream with pumpkin seed oil and pumpkins... Wow, that was delicious... The service was also very nice... Come here we would love to go..."

"Me and my 5 friends were debating on where to have dinner on a nice Saturday in the Wiesbaden Rheingau Area . They were craving Schnitzel so i said ok i will give Baumstammhaus a last chance to prove that they can do better.... Wrong choice . Waiters completely ignorant and most unfriendly table waiters i have ever met can 't get worse after asking why they dont provide a card payment method after years she replied in german if you dont have the money to eat here go to McDonalds or Burger King they accept cards !!! Wow !! Drinks were served quick . So was the salad which was plastered with a heavy dressing that looked more like seasoned curd than a nice light dressing .... negative #2 so far .... Main course came served , this is where its getting interesting guys: My Schnitzel was sloppy . Soaked in grease and cooking oil . I asked if this was freshly breaded and cooked and she replied yes which is a 100% lie ! The Schnitzels are beeing pre breaded and cooked before opening of the restaurant and then after beeing irdered by guests they just throw them in the deep fryer . YUK ! Fries were oversalted and just too much . Quantity over quality ! What a waste of food and money ! Me , my friends and everyone i know agreed to NEVER go back to this low quality , unfriendly spot . The nice interior cant make that up ..."
