"Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was heavenly, the service really personal and attentive. Will definitely be back, I'm telling all my closest friends to try it for themselves! Vegetarian options: Fantastic plant based menu. Really imaginative ideas. 1 member out party is pescatarian so we were able to have 2 courses plant based and 2 courses from the standard menu. Absolutely superb! Meal type: Lunch"

"Visited the cafe on a Sunday 14/05/23 after recommendations from friends who had been before. What a complete mess! Staff are so unorganised. There was literally 5 tables to serve so half of the cafe. The staff appeared clueless and looked like they were running round like headless chickens. After waiting for 15 minutes I asked a young girl if we could order and she said yes. Walked off told a older lady that we was ready to order. She replied I'm busy. A further 5 minutes we finally ordered. The food then arrived around 20 minutes later. Full of grease, sausages were had black crispy bits all over them, the bacon was like cutting into a brick. I went to cut it and it literally broke like a crisp. I don't mind crispy bacon but that was absolutely burnt to a crisp! I cut into the hash brown oil poured out and the whilst we was sat with our awful breakfast. The security alarm went off for over twenty minutes and all the staff were stood there gormless not having a clue how to turn it off including the owner! So poor service, dreadful breakfast, alarm going off for nearly half an hour and the most unorganised staff I have seen. To top it all off the bill was just short of £30 which is on the more expensive side for breakfast so I would expect food to good standard. Needless to say I won't be visiting again and I won't be recommending to anyone I know. Furthermore, a friend visited the same morning and rang us the day after to say it was the worst breakfast he'd ever had! So that's two lots of unhappy customers. Seriously need to sort your standards out because you definitely should not have a good rating on here. Anyone wanting a good breakfast go elsewhere!"

"I initially enquired about taking my parents out for Mother’s Day via Facebook. Within minutes my question had been responded to despite it being outside of opening hours. The following day Claire got in contact again to confirm availability of their Mother’s Day special menu the day before they were planning on serving it. This fit brilliantly with our travel plans as my wife and I do not live locally but my parents do. The whole process of booking was very easy and nothing was ever too much trouble. Upon arrival we were not disappointed. Our table was reserved and very clean. The chilli chicken soup was superb with an alternative of tomato soup if needed. Then came the afternoon tea itself! Wow! Just wow! The tea was served on portable wooden shelves which were delivered to the table and really made the food stand out against the dark wood. A mixture of warm miniature savouries alongside freshly made sandwiches really filled us up. So much so that we took away 2 boxes of cakes and desserts which kept us fed well into the next day. Such a fantastic business doing things professionally with excellent food quality. Thanks to Claire and the team for responding to my initial enquiry. I know my mum had a great time and will be spreading the word with friends in Blackburn!"

"We always get takeaway from here as it’s our fave Indian round here. We went to eat in and couldn’t believe the price difference, was so much more expensive to eat in. I understand you pay for service but it was about an extra tenner. We went on a Tuesday and was disappointed they aren’t doing the 50% scheme. Food was amazing as always, just too expensive so we wouldn’t eat in again."

"I came here for my friend's wedding in October and the hall was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds were incredible and the onsite cafe did the best full English! Rooms: I stayed in the Shepherds Hut on my own, the double bed was comfortable and the bonus of having an ensuite was great. The tea/coffee station was a welcoming site the morning after the wedding. Food drinks: The food at the Heritage Cafe was incredible. I went here for breakfast both days of my stay and the staff were really accommodating to my dietary requirements and very quick with the service. The price for what you got was great! As I was at the Hall for a wedding, my friend had opted for the Afternoon Tea as her wedding breakfast and the food was amazing. I really loved the little cup of soup (might need to ask for the recipe) and the chocolate/cherry mousse was my favourite out of the desserts.
