No comparison with its heritage and previous reputation and the experience today. Mediocre food. Not worth visiting again.

Our whole experience at The Hole in the wall was awesome! Fantastic pub with a great old world atmosphere. They had biggest menu. Food was served hot delicious tasty compliments to Chef. This will be a hard one to beat both for the memories and the food! Will be coming back!!

This is our local pub, we celebrated New Years eve here and recently my Mum's 90th birthday. We really appreciated how accommodating the staff were to the 22 of us, making her 90th memorable wanting us to all feel at home there. The food was lovely and quick between course. No request was too much.

The pub atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly, able to accommodate our mixed aged family group. However, despite it being a Sunday, the Salmon Risotto was disappointing as it consisted of a fillet of salmon on top of a mound of rice with boiled carrots, parsnips, and broccoli. I went with friends for our first Christmas dinner of the year and it was fabulous. The food and ambience were excellent and great value for money. I telephoned to book and inform them of my dietary requirements which were met with no problem at all. The nut roast was superb! It was our first visit to the Hole in the Wall and we definitely will be returning.

Stunning meal. The drinks , food , ambiance and service was excellent. Their Rajasthani Lamb curry was superb the best I'have had in my life. We ended the meal with a delicious sticky toffee pudding wasn't too heavy. GREAT staff ,Good service. We loved it when the chef approached us and asked about the food and the experience. Thank you for lovely meal and day. We are definitely coming back.

This charming inn, dating back to the 16th and 15th centuries, offers easy car parking. After a visit to Papworth, we stayed for one night in the suite above the bar. The room was fabulous, with quirky features like uneven walls adding to the charm. The bed was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. Our evening meal was of very high quality, with standout dishes like the homemade orange cookies with liver parfait and the perfectly cooked flat iron steak and teriyaki. The chef even came to greet us, a nice personal touch. We enjoyed sitting by the lovely log burner for the rest of the evening.
