"Unfortunately, the restaurant was very cold when we arrived at 5:30 for a pre-theatre meal, and we never quite warmed up, which really detracted from the overall experience. The service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday evening, so understandable. We felt somewhat rushed as if we were on a conveyor belt. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. Some years back before visiting the theatre we had a delicious mackerel dish here, and were looking forward to a fish and chips lunch. Sadly disappointing, dry fish, dry chips, even dry 'crushed ' peas. Perhaps if we 'd chosen a different dish, but if they can 't do proper fish and chips......... Staff didn 't engage with the customers. Cannot recommend.
