We were warmly welcomed and said goodbye. Their service, the extremely friendly staff, the delicious food and breakfast, where nothing was missing, and the great location high above the city leave nothing to be desired. You deserve the 5 stars. Thank you for everything!!! Food overpriced and didn't taste that good very salty. Food was mixed up as in given another tables food and then they tried to give us food we didn't order. View was great

Stopped here to relax and quench our thirst. Amazingly impressed with the location. Prompt, polite, and friendly service. Breathtaking views. We'll partake of menu options during our next visit, which will be soon. Ver carta

We were a group walking up. Please note it is in parts steep With a lot of stairs. But it is easy access With a lift. Part of the restaurant has fantastic views, try to get a table here. The food and service was good.

Stumbled across this place after spending a chilly afternoon in the cathedral and castle, and had a very nice late lunch. Charming little restaurant. We just had brats, but they were very good. Nice service, inexpensive. If you're walking further beyond the cathedral, this is a great spot for a bite.

We had a very pleasant stay with our child and dog, although it was not obvious beforehand that dogs were only allowed in certain rooms and that these were of course a little more expensive. Sauna costs extra. The service in the rooms and breakfast was top. Otherwise, Meißen is really beautiful and worth a visit. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Ver carta

This restaurant has a superb situation in an impressive building beside the castle, overlooking the town. A taxi is recommended, as the climb from the lower Old Town is only partly reduced by a public lift! The restaurant was busy on a Friday evening and we were glad we had booked ahead. Service was friendly and efficient and the trout and sauerbraten (pot roast beef) were beautifully cooked and presented. A sorbet, local cheese and a Meissen wine completed a most enjoyable meal.

Had 1 night in a room on Domplatz (comfort category) Great room, everything very clean, very comfortable box spring bed. Dinner on the terrace has a wonderful view. Chicken burger with sweet potato is a dream. Salad bowl and soyanka. The price is a bit higher but the view is worth it. One star deducted for breakfast Unfortunately the selection for a 4 star hotel was a bit limited (no bread, only baked rolls, no fresh fruit, limited selection of muesli) But the view in the morning is again a dream. There are great Sunday arrangements with 2 nights. Unfortunately we only had one night and will definitely be back. Small fitness room, sauna for a fee.

"Together with our friends we have booked a “seedy beer tour” through a bit, measurable diplom, where we came to taste through all kinds of gastrosen and get to know the most diverse Saxon beer varieties, but also learn more about the history of the Saxon brewery. after a tour through the meißner old town and a trip to the albrechtsburg we were all quite hungry. but also the organizer had thought about it, and so our last station was the "gasthaus zu altstadt" in the heart of meißen. this is a rustic restaurant, rustically furnished, which offers mainly Saxon food. but also for the tourist who do not want to eat so dedicated is thought. After our nearly 30 men and women arrived in the gas house, there was a big staller „Freiberger Pilsner“ to greet. the already at the beginning of our tour selected meals were then after a few minutes also at the place. we chose the gulasch with red cabbage and knock twice as well as the blackshaxe with kartoffels, sour spreewald meerrettich and built screed. all four parts were plentiful, gulasch with red cabbage and knock the gulasch pleasantly soft and spicy. the red weeds more from the wholesaler. the knocks again homemade and well steamed. a small supplement made of möhrenraspel and a piece tomate. sashshaxe with kartoffels, sour word, spreewald meerrettich and growzner senf the haxe crispy fried, in the inner rather tender. the delicate spicy and very crispy. I'd rather have forgotten the potatoes, I'd rather have had a good fresh bread. the herb was apparently made. not like the eternal weed in other gastroses. hearty, sour, with abundant cumin. the fresh, sharp sea radii and also the sharp farmer's pale fit perfectly to the hot. here again the fresh möhrenraspel and the small tomate. we were served by the chefin. friendly, a cute word on the lips, flotts and always with the eyes on the hospitable. We never had to wait long for the beer feed. the house and the toilets were neat and clean. there's nothing to mock. Conclusion: the hearty, smiling kitchen. the wetin with the mouth at the right place. the restaurant rustic and cozy. they have fun!"
