Excellent hotel to stay in Birmingham. Thank you to Evol for making our stay extremely pleasant. Very helpful and polite staff. Excellent will stay again in the future

We attended this restaurant as a reward for my husbands hard work. It was much better than expected with a nice atmosphere and excellent food. There was also excellent service and very kind and knowledgeable waiters 12.5% discretionary tip

A returning guest at HDV Birmingham at the weekend. It continues to demonstrate excellent standards. The staff are wonderful and in particular the bar manager and Jordan( made great cocktails) who went the extra nine yards to accommodate us when we thought the bar area...was full. I will definitely go back if only for the comfort of the lovely beds.

Four of us went for after- dinner drinks on Sunday evening and rather than ordering a glass each of prosecco, we decided on a bottle to share. This was duly brought over to us and what would you expect to pay ? 16 Pounds ?...22 Pounds ? 26 Pounds ? The cost for a bottle was 40 Pounds. I find it hard to justify such a price for a bottle of cheap bubbly wine, we left soon after and went elsewhere. We were looking forward to a nice experience but felt very exploited.

stay in the hotel for a business trip. the bar was about 18.45 clock full and without space, so I went straight to the bistro to dinner. really super service. friendly, relaxed environment. the food was delicious, great served and well presented. breakfast in...morning had a cold and hot choice. for the hot selection they order in the menu. for the cold selection there is a buffet with everything they would expect, pastry and baked, juice and coffee. really good food. recommended.

great dinner at the hotel du vin. tuna nicoise and steak hache were excellent. stefan aus georgien was a great host to go some incredible weine with the food. we tried the English bolney estate white wine and its sparkling rose (both great! and a... more effective uruguayian dessert wine as well as a very decent offley marina. stefan was so good and that was brilliant. we had a nice evening. they do not come over the stefans of this world often enough – very knowledgeable and a wonderful person to make them feel at home.

Popped in here more in hope than expectation during the EOTHO period. We were pleasantly surprised to get a table in the stylish dining room. Covid safe procedures are taken seriously here, and service was polite and efficient. There was an excellent and good value...Languedoc wine on the extensive list. We’re both huge fans of French onion soup and it didn’t disappoint. Very hot and nice consistency with a big cheese covered crouton. For mains we had the Cassoulet, again very hot and a good sized portion. My only complaint was that baked beans had been used instead of the traditional white ones. I dashed in out of the rain and into the Bistro. In recent weeks I’ve been trying to eat more Vegan food and move away from meat based products. I was pleasantly surprised to find two options in the grill section, after much deliberation I...opted for the Vegan Cheeseburger (though the plant based steak sounded great) When my burger arrived I couldn’t have been happier. It tasted great and the Vegan Feta cheese was to die for. The mushroom ketchup was a great addition to the burger as well. we have a friend for early dinner who had traveled overseas, we thought that hotel du vin would be a good place to din. during the online booking it did not show any availability at all on a Wednesday evening at 18 o'clock. I called the restaurant and said they could fit us in at 18.15. at the arrival we were the only diner and the place was empty apart from a private function that went in one of the rooms, so is uncertain why there were no places to book in the restaurant, unless they had insufficient personal. the waiter took our weeping order and returned with 2 glasses tepid slightly fizzy white whip, not all we expected. when he returned after our food order, we asked for a wee so that...
