"We went for dinner with some friends that were made very welcome by our hosts Martin and Jill and Connor the waiter There is a tremendous selection of seafood available and I enjoyed a lovely fresh Cromer crab followed by a large plaice Halibut and...some monkfish are also on the menu and there was a tremendous selection of puddings Martin recommended various wines to us all of which were as a decent price The atmosphere is fantastic and the restaurants only seats about so personal service is guaranteed It has been years since I last days her but we will definitely be returning very soon Thank you for a wonderful evening"

It’s been a few years since I was last here but the food is as good as always and the staff are friendly and accommodating. They specialise in fish but there is usually at least one meat option if a member of your party isn’t...keen on seafood.

Only one word for this gem of a restaurant, superb. We were made to feel welcome from the second we came through the door (Gill even opened the door early for us). Martin and Gill are excellent hosts and the food is outstanding. Sadly, it...is too far to visit on a regular basis but we will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday here. It is a restaurant we enjoy going to for special occasions. As always we received a lovely welcome. The food and wine were good the seafood towers for starters and halibut main course were delicious. We love the atmosphere...of this small cosy restaurant and are made to feel special by Gill and Martin, the owners. Ver carta

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for many years, but had never got around to it what a shame! Because it is second to none. I had the seafood pancake which was just delicious, my partner had the seafood tower, equally as good....To follow I had the monkfish in malibu which was excellent. The vegetables all delicious and cooked well The whole evening was amazing from walking through the door, a warm welcome, lovely ambience. Would highly recommend going. Not many places around which serve seafood as good as this.

Joplin’s is not at the centre of some great metropolis, but it most definitely is at the core of what dining out is all about. A small intimate environment where you are not made to feel like a number, a sensibly sized menu that ensures...nothing ever gets close to a microwave and above all, really really well cooked food prepared by hosts who clearly have a passion for their business. My wife and I were first time visitors to the restaurant, which sadly is just a tad too far to visit from home for a night out, but it is definitely a “must return” when in the area. You will regret not trying it if you do get the chance

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
